I only found one hit trying to google this. Who else noticed that the hangar windows in Roswell that ends well have "7 damned" written on them? What does it mean?!

There's something about this on the Infosphere--"The windows of the hangar in the fight sequence between the planes and the PE ship has "DAMNED" written in the windows with different shades of glass."--that's it.
Doesn't look like anything significant.

Also, I was bored enough to get a screenshot. Just because.

Thanks for the screenshot.  The image in the first pane looks a bit like the Robot Devil.

Huh. There is the whole '7 levels of hell' thing. You think that has anything to do with it?

That's an interesting thought. Enos was a homosexual, which is considered a sin by some people, so maybe that would make him one of the seven damned. Are there many gays in Futurama? Maybe there are seven in all, but I can only think of Randy and Enos off the top of my head. Well, there's no harm in speculating.

I've been looking at the picture for 5 minutes and I still don't see anything.

If you brighten the image up some the "letters" could also be seen as 7 DAMN AL... (ALIENS?) although I have never seen 7 aliens cited as a hard total found in the Roswell Crash(es). But most accounts of the incident, true or not, do say that recovered alien bodies were brought to a hangar on the base in a truck like the one shown in the screencap.

Could also have something to do with 7 people knowing they'd be out of work when the 1st run of Futurama was cancelled.

Take a closer look again.  I contend that the first image is not the numeral 7, but rather the Robot Devil.

I think you may be right Tachy. Allowing room for the Robot Devil's horns would make more sense than a squashed "7". Why that would be there in 1947 is a mystery, though. As would be why somebody went to the trouble of putting it in there artwork wise.

Could be anyone from a producer to a background artist, now able to chuckle that they snuck a satanic/subversive/whatever image into the show.

Matt Groening shows often get inside information from the New World Order and display them in obfuscated ways.  The New World Order does this in order to shift blame away from itself in a ritualistic manner over the atrocities they cause.  They, like most humans, are also overly obsessive with symbolism.

hey y'all - it's not '7 DAMNED'...

the window to the far left has a crude block image of a devil head (much like when Bender tiled his image all over NNY), or the head of the Robot Devil, perhaps, which is followed by 'DA MN ED'.

look at an HD image of it & it will be obvious. i noticed it ages ago.

hope that helps clear up the confusion.
