HOLY CRAP! So I'm watching futurama, and I just noticed that in the 1999 season 2 episode 1 show "I second that emotion" (Leela, fry, and bender travel down into the sewer to find nibbler which bender flushes down the toliet), Leela's parents appear!

Now, this is especially interesting because Leela doesn't begin looking for her parents (and eventually discovers them) until Season 4 Episode 2 "Leela's Homeworld", which doesn't air until 3 years later in 2002.

My mind has been blown!

 Another note, They not only are the only people to walk onto the scene, but they are on there for about 3-10 seconds.

Also, Munda has arms instead of her usual tentacles. I remember being amazed when I first saw that.

In some interview, they stated that they considered Munda not mutated enough.
Should Munda have looked like Leela, she would have tried the "pass as an alien" trick already by herself.

Is it possible they were digitally added into the scene later on? I also wondered about Niblers shadow in the Why of Fry. When Futurama first came out we taped it, the tapes are back home but I'd love to get my hands on them to see how things looked in the original airings.

A tad late, but as it belongs in this thread...

The upcoming episode "Leela and the Genestalk" is said to explain why Munda first had arms, and then tentacles.
