Terribly sorry if this has already been covered somewhere on this forum. I used the search feature for a solid hour looking for this:

There is a scene in one of the episodes where two space creatures (modeled after some kind of sea creature) are swimming through space when they are suddenly separated. I just want to know which episode this is.

Unfortunately this is the only information I can provide based on memory . I want to say the creatures were squid. Also, I think one of the main characters stumbles upon the lost creature at some point.

Thank you!

No worries. Someone will probably know what you're talking about and provide an answer. The thread will probably be closed once this happens, as the essential question will have been answered.

So let me welcome you to PEEL with this post!

Thank ya! And that's fine if it's closed. Starting to think I've gone mad since I can't find anything about it.

Hey there, welcome to PEEL!

I think this particular question would fit better in the Re-Check/Weird Scenes forum, as we are discussing a particular reference in question.

Nothing is coming to mind now but it is 3am for me :p I will sleep on it and get back to you. Or not, if I really don't know heh.

Was this a recent episode or from original run, do you know?

I understand. I didn't know which forum it was more suited for. Thanks for giving it an effort. I'm assuming I'm just going crazy.

Hope you enjoy your time at PEEL and I hope you stick around.

I actually have no idea what the name of the episode is, but your description does sound familiar.

Sea creature in space just makes me think of Mobius Dick. :hmpf:

Yeah, all I could find while googling was stuff about Mobius Dick and quotes about squids by Zoidberg (which I swear they were squid). Also talked to my friend who knows a bit about Futurama and he said he recalls the episode but can't place it.

It didn't even seem very relevant to the episode except I remember the lost creature appearing later.

Sorry it's so little to go on.

Do you remember the colour?

They were both different colors. I think pink and blue perhaps to represent a boy and a girl?

The closest (And it's not even that close, :hmpf:) that I could think of was when the Giant Squid and The Killer Whale were fighting each other in "The Deep South".

Are you sure it wasn't from a comic or a deleted scene?

Oh yeah I saw that as well. Definitely not a comic. Only way it would be a deleted scene is if they showed them on TV for some reason or on Netflix.

That reminds me! Was it The Dark Ones and The Encyclopod? They were green and blue, but they fought all right...

It was definitely more of a dance. But I will look into those here in a second.

Why do you want to see this scene so bad. It doesn't seem like something worth "bleeding you eyes out for...:(

One of those touching Futurama scenes I wanted to rewatch. Which lead me to looking for it. Which lead me to not finding it. Which lead me to obsessing over it haha.

Hmmm... Maybe Fry's holophoner otter creatures? If I'm remembering correctly, that would be in Parasites Lost and the whole sequence was both space-themed and romantic.

That was the scene that converted my favorite show at the time Simpsons to be replaced by Futurama. The emotional depth really stood out, that was a really memorable moment...

My god. It was from Courage the Cowardly Dog this whole time. I guess the space scene threw me off.  -_-

My bad guys feel free to delete this post haha. I feel like an idiot. Will contribute more though!
