In that case, it wouldn't be registered as a solely "Old Trek" gesture, and therefore not forbidden - unless it was realised that Fry was saying it to Nimoy. I don't suppose Nimoy featured in any "New Trek" episodes?

Edit: two TOTP posts in a row! ~does dance twice as fast~

2. Heh heh, you bumped this thread just like I did... Mine was worse, though: you just "stole my thunder".

After reading this thread, I think I know how religion modify's itself. People go back and get pedantic and make things complicated in order to make sure everything still fits into their beliefs.

Nimoy probably thought that was the quickest and easiest way to make Fry drop the subject. If he had said "What are you talking about?" Fry would've started to explain about the show and mentioned the words Star Trek. Nimoy saved Fry's ass from prison. That guy is a saint!!

Welcome to PEEL. Enjoy it here.

What about "Star Trek : The Pepsi Generation"'s Oscar nomination.

But, then again, it is the Oscars. You know all the criminal activity that goes on with them...
