Futurama without Bender is like The Simpsons without Bart. Ain't gonna happen. You're just reading to far into things.

They only did the burial to show Bender that he would be remembered when he does...(which will be never.)

If Bender ever dies, there might be a chance that he could be buried in an improperly shielded casket next to an old modem. That way we can still have a ghost bender!

Hey, maybe Bender could get reincarnated as a talking dog-bot. Fry: Do you think the ghost came through here? Zoidberg: Like, I don't know, man, but I sure could go for a pizza! Bender: Rite ry riny retal rass.

Maybe I don't get it beause I havn't seen the latest episodes, but this topic is sucking ass big time. Only an idiot would ever think Bender wouldn't, or shouldn't be in Futurama.

Earth: Final Conflict killed off THE main character at one point.

TNG: Killed of Tashy Yar (set as one of the 8 main characters) DS9: Killed of Jadzia Dax
It's been done before, but on Futurama it'll probably only happen if it was really funny. and no Bender is still not going anywhere, he'll be back in Season 5, maybe

I have no idea how this got started, but jeez-o-man... According to the "upcoming episodes" page at The Leela Zone, Bender is the central focus of at least three of the remaining eps, and appears in a preproduction sketch from another. Seeing that the production-season finale, The Devil's Hands... is robotcentric, it makes sense to assume he's involved there too--and thus, all the way through the season. No worries.Whack Tasha Yar and some fans get upset. Killing Bender, however, is the same as vaporizing Spock or Bones. It just doesn't make sense. Wow, somebody watches Earth: Final Conflict?

Bender's Uncle Vladimir was buried in styrofoam casing and a cardboard bow marked "Return to Sender", but when the PE crew held the funeral for Bender, he was in a more ordinary casket... I think it all started when Lesotho_Leela, misunderstood Simm's post, and our little academic discussion about robot mortality, in the thread "Robot Burials". And I had no problems with getting rid of Tasha, in fact I cheered.
