[goph]Just realised that this thread's title is a spoiler for the ep. Edited it accordingly.[/goph]

I'm not usually very picky about "physics" in cartoons, but since Futurama has shown pretty decent science chops over the years...  (ie: Bender flinging swag to counter his out-of-control spinning in Godfellas.)

How exactly is the "spaceship" supposed to be propelling itself?  It looks like wings are flapping, and some kind of rotor or screw is turning, but since there's no air (or anything) in space to be flapped against...

I suppose it's possible that da Vinci the alien was SO advanced, that he developed some kind of FTL-drive from cogs and timber and sheets.  Otherwise 30 days wouldn't get you very far from Earth.  Perhaps the flapping wings are just for show?  I have to admit that having the wings flap faster upon landing was a nice touch.

Also, Fry and the Prof look like they're in pretty good shape "1 month later", after having been trapped in a giant bell jar for 30 days.  I might have thought they'd be up to their necks in "stuff" by then, assuming there were provisions on board the ship.  The ship must have a pretty good (and subtle) recycler.

Overall I liked the episode, but I was completely over "Animatronio" after the first minute.

Root 66, parasites lost.30% Iron Chef. A train running along light beams hits prism and flies off in different directions.

They do jokes like this all the time. :)

That ship's most likely the same one Da Vinci came to Earth in. If he was able to make the trip here, I don't see why the trip back wouldn't work.

Oops, sorry about the title. (Goes with being a poppler, I guess.)  I'll keep that in mind for further posts.

Leonardo died. Vinci is the planet and they're all still alive and being smart and steampunk in space.
