Surely you don't doubt the Murderator's ability to impart the killing wheel with a little 4-D rotation when required? Oh, ye of little faith!

Ouch... didn't notice that before, but the first frame definitely seems like the sort of thing they should have caught. Damn.

I don't think anyone pointed this out (apologies if someone did) but it looks like one of the frames right after Zoidberg ducks from the Murderator is off. If you slow it down to 1/16 speed there is one frame where Zoidberg has two sets of arms, one of which is going through his head. Whoops!

Perhaps it's another one of Dr Zoidberg's botched operations, this time on himself, but the reason we didn't know about it was because that happened in a parallel universe and what you don't see is the Parabox just off the corner of the frame. I'm not talking about the parallel universe in which Dr Zoidberg is purple, this is another one, yes :shifty:...

Reminds me of the goof with the Slurm Queen's behindus being in front of the sign at the awards ceremony. Unsurprising given the lower animation budget, and the fact that those look like copy-pasted computer-drawn components. I think we're seeing just how far computers have to go to completely replace traditional animation methods.

Hey Otis I said you guys were right! I replayed the scene and saw what you meant with the Murderator.

The only reason I caught that Zoidberg glitch is because I was trying to slow down the Murderator scene!

Continuity goof, Farnsworth looked like he actually had a gut when he returned to human form, but in TPOB he clearly had almost nothing around his stomach area.

Farnsworth`s plan in TPOB was to get some meat on his bones. This image just shows the plan was successfully completed. So..great continuity :D

Farnsworth usually has the gut. In POB it was a joke that served to advance the plot.

tnuk's right, it's pretty obvious by looking at him (dressed or un-dressed) that he has a pot-belly. If anything, the joke in TPOB was a lapse in continuity, especially considering that I'm pretty sure they drew Farnsworth with his pot-belly when he had his shirt on, and then drew him with only skin and bones when he lifted his shirt. It was an allowable lapse, though. Like tnuk said, it advances the plot.

I'm wondering if that's how the Prof's mom is going to look in a future episode!

I actually thought he looked like a sweet old lady (with his clothes on), and I really wish they had done him as a female to begin with (sometimes.)   I actually think being female would make no difference to his personality, and it does bother me that in so many animated comedies, female characters are almost always used as "straight women" to male comic foils.

That's just me though.  : )

As I said in the 'Thoughts On' thread:

Also, Zapp launched an effing Universe to Universe Missle into the saran wrap, and it caused a tiny explosion... Either a stupid error, or that missile would of done naff all to Yivo in TBWABB... :nono:

It could just be a different kind of missile that looks similar to the UUM...

Maybe I do, maybe I don't. Either way, it doesn't really matter, they could easily be different missiles but the animators just used the same design on this one as the UUM; it's not necessarily a "goof".

Or at least not an important one.

Maybe the saran wrap cushioned the explosion somewhat and caused it to make less impact. I mean, the joke was deliberately ridiculous to begin with which made it more funny...

I asked Aimee Steinberger (Animation artist and costume designer on Futurama):

'Do you ever see an animation goof in #Futurama and get annoyed that you can't change it?'

She said:

'yes. Yes. Sometimes due to time or budget, we just can't fix everything. Mostly the show looks great, though.'

So they do pick up on a lot of things, but not everything...

I feel like the Zoidberg arm thing probably wouldn't have taken much time to fix - it's not like someone drew it wrong, it's just a glitch in some program or somesuch. But okay. Thanks for asking, Danny.

'yes. Yes. Sometimes due to time or budget, we just can't fix everything. Mostly the show looks great, though.'

They've had most of 6B sitting on a shelf done and finished for months according to David X Cohen, so they've had plenty of time to fix things. All I can assume is it's budget related, but as most of these things are so small and only a few seconds at most then I don't see that being such a big issue either :hmpf:...

Serious laugh-out-loud there.

That one's hard, it took me about three seconds to figure out what the problem was. It doesn't bug me as much as the Zoidberg arm one. Interesting catch though.

When a goof actually makes me pause and think about it, like when something is obviously miscoloured or when there's a continuity error, it can annoy me incredibly, because it takes me out of the moment. Most goofs, however, like simple animation misses, don't annoy me one bit. They are difficult to spot, and easy to ignore. Still fun to look for them or see them listed here, but they certainly don't annoy me. I can't see a significant increase in the worse types of goofs during this season compared to TOS, and so I don't mind the lesser ones.

The interior colour of PE in Universe 1 annoyed me... It's blue like twice then red for the rest of the episode... And before Leela gets in the parabox the Universe A PE wall turns blue in a single frame. :nono:

I did, it heavily irritated me.

Also, something that pissed me off in Cold Warriors, when Fry mentions being frozen for a 1000 years Bender says: 'Really?! You learn something dumb everyday.'

He SAW and TOUCHED Fry when he was frozen in BBS, at least twice!
