The LX Package

In episode 1, Space Pilot 3000 the Professor states that he built the Planet Express ship himself and later states in episode 215, A Clone of My Own the Professor further states how he made the engines work and that he built them so why in Bender's Game part 1 does Leela talk about buying the LX Package?

I don't know if you've noticed this or not but Futurama's a cartoon.

A comedic one at that. My point being: It's a joke.

And I believe you're referring to Bender's Game not Bender's Big Score.

Maybe the Professor ordered the parts to build it and installed his own engine.

Also, speaking of mistakes... Did you notice how Jezzem corrected saying it was in bender's game, not bender's big score, when the op already said it was in bender's game.

You order and install the LX package after you design and build the ship.

he may have built it, but maybe the LX p0ackage is the programming in  the ship, and the statue came as a free gift that your supposed to place on your ship.  custom ship with LX hood ornament, generic programming.

I built my computer, but I bought the harddrive. Same principle. I'm sure the Professor didn't create the metallic particles by hand, and even if he did, he could still add a package.
