Alternative Zoidberg Origin

Has anyone noticed that in A Taste of Freedom, in Zoidberg's flashback as a child he is seen as a young lobster creature and not the larvae, or any of the stages before, that he was in Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles and that his Mother is still alive even though they are meant to die as soon as they mate?

First of all, that is his aunt. Decapodians have 3 parents: the 2 that mated and 1 who didn't who takes care of the child. Them's the breaks.

Second of all, Zoidberg mentioned that he would go through all his larval stages so the child version seen in those flashbacks is him past his larval stages.

Alright I didn't realise they had 3 parents, but still, I thought his Lavae stage seen in the picture was like a teenage stage and in the picture above it he looked like someone of a younger age, but still he is an alien and I guess the way they grow will be different. Thanks for helping me resolve this problem FistfulOAwesome!

They're the aliens from that TV series, 'Alien Nation'.  It came out 20 years ago.  It was a really good show.

Anyway, maybe the larvae stage was a toddler stage, and in the flashback, Zoidberg was in his child stage.

It probably was. The thing that makes you think that his lavae stage is a teenage stage is that the rest of the PE crew turn into their teenage stage, except of course for Farnsworth!

It comes from the series 3 Episode "Now that's lobstertainment" when Zoidberg says to Harold Zoid

"It's me, Norm and Sam and Sadie's boy"

They're the aliens from that TV series, 'Alien Nation'.  It came out 20 years ago.  It was a really good show.

Anyway, maybe the larvae stage was a toddler stage, and in the flashback, Zoidberg was in his child stage.

"Hooray, I'm a teenage heart throb again"
In Teenage Mutant Leela's hurdles.

So I was right about the teenage thing then! Thinking back I do remember Zoidberg saying that in 'Thats Lobstertainment' now.
