I've watched Bender's Game an unhealthy number of a few times, and each time I watch it I notice something weird in one of the final scenes

notice that the world map in the background looks perfectly normal.  But then, a few seconds later:

Anybody have any idea why Africa is backwards and attached to East Asia, or why everything else seems jumbled together?

It could just be cycling through various differnt maps.

That wouldn't happen to be the Urallian Continent in the second grab, would it?

edit: Nah, I'm thinking of the Great Eastern Hemisphere.

I have a question about benders game, whats up with the explanation at the end of the movie. What actualy did happen. Did they actualy go to an alternet universe, or did Bender's imagination swallow everything. And further more why did only Bender disapear in the nut house. Why didnt Nurse Ratchet and Dr. Perceptron disappear. Why did only Leela and Fry remember who they were and everyone else didnt? Im just a little confused. Maybe there is no good explanation.

The Wizard (Professor) stated that it was indeed a real reality. If they die there they stay dead. I wondered about why others in the normal reality weren't in Bender's reality too. The only thing I can think of is that it would have to be someone that was part of Bender's fantasy in normal reality to get sent to the dark-matter fueled Bender's
imgination reality.

I guess that answers that question, but why did Fry and Leela remember who they were and everyone else didnt. At least it came across that way.

My guess as to why Fry would know who he was would be his lack of the delta brain wave. Unfortunantly this does not explain Leela. Then agian in might have beena proximity thing, when she was close to Fry she seemed fine but when she left she seemed to be more absorbed by the fantasy.

That or it was a simple plot device.

That actually makes sense. When she leaves Fry to go with the Centaurs she seems to not care about the quest anymore and is instead interested in living with the Centaurs.

A minor nickpick character wise, but Farnsworth who triggered the D&D Warning played himself in his younger days.

Of course, he could have gone a little crazy himself like Bender but without the alternate reality to fix him :p.

I think the idea was that DND makes robots- and not humans- go insane because they lack an imagination, and end up thinking DND is real..

I think it means robots aren't built with an imagination and
therefore don't have the circuitry to handle imaginary thoughts.
So if they have them it's a malfunction of the robot's existing hardware.

This might have been an obvious thing but did you notice when Leela Fry and Farnsworth were breaking into moms hide out after they went through the hot fast spinning fans, and they are walking into the hideout, if you look at thier shadows Leelas shadow looks like her arms were cut off. Right after they go through the fans.

When the dwarves (or dwarfs for some) are dancing there are seven at the start. However when the one breaks their ankle and is about to be dragged away there are only four in the background making five in total. Also there are four gnomes at the start and after there are only two.

Yes.
For some unexplained reason the map is a mirror image.
Here it is flipped:

Notice please, the map looks normal now.
I'll just ooze back out under the door now...

[Peers intently at the Professor's abdomen, rubs his eyes, cleans his glasses.]

Funny, from this distance it looks just like the dark circles surrounded by a pink glow which we saw inside Bender and the Nibblonians earlier. Oh well, there you go.

I noticed that when I was watching it. I figured that it was animated the wrong way around, so the entire image was reversed in post-production to fix it. Or maybe not.

Six o'one, a half-dozen of the other: It has no bearing on the plot of 'BG'.
It is merely fodder for Internet geeks such as ourselves.

Ok, so I was watching BG with the commentary on, and I couldnt help notice when mom fires her laser at Fry and Prof, she shots a hole in the pipe thing theyre climing on, inside the hole there seems to be some form of, what I thought was a penguin? Does anyone actually know what it could be?

I believe that was probably a chicken since they had escaped through the chicken delivery pipes that were to force feed the nibblonians ( eternians) and they were running on top of said pipes after having escaped from the chamber with all the nibblonians

I always find with watching it with the commentary on you find more things you don't notice because 1) they tell you or 2) you get bored.

Also, you aren't paying close attention to the plot, so you really either use the commentary as background noise and sometimes look at the movie, or you watch the whole thing and notice things like goofs and gags you didn't see the first time.

Also the movie seems to go by faster...aww...

Also, when PE won that demolition, Leela gets her ponytail burned off.  When they go back, Leela's ponytail is back.

Another thing, when Leela got the keys out of the Professor's stomach via a magent, why didn't she do the same for the keys to that shock collar?
