The professor looks pretty young by the time he hops in the fountain of aging but I wouldn't have said that he ever gets particularly Cubert-ish in that episode.

Doesn't Matt Groening say in one of the commentaries that his design for Cubert is inspired by Pugsley Addams and pre-dates the show. Also the concept of the professor having a clone is also very old and the two were only married into the same character when he was going to actually appear in an episode (using an existing design saved them having to make up a new one). The idea of him being left in his first test-tube too long arose when it was pointred out that the character design bore surprisingly little resemblence to the Professor for somone who was supposed to be his clone.

At least I think that's how it goes, anyway.

Cubert's nose was squished against the cloning tube; this physical difference is explained in A Clone of my Own. Give him a Farnsworth beak nose and he could easily be identical to Farnsworth as a kid... since I don't think we ever saw Farnsworth at that age.

Teenaged Farnsworth, TMLH;

Preteen Farnsworth, also TMLH;

Farnsworth age 8, ACoMO;

Cubert age 12, ACoMO;

I'll just... ooze... back out under the door now...

Thanks SpaceCase. You're always there for me.

Note, ignoring the glasses and nose, they might as well be twins. Cubert might be a little chunkier, because he's spoilt.

Thanks SpaceCase.

You're welcome; no extra charge.

You're always there for me.

 :confused:   Ah, Wha?   :confused:
   Who are you?
     Where am I?
Why are all you people looking at me so strangely?
  And where did I leave my firehose...?
