throughout the series there are many magnets on and around bender, including some that are on his head or neck area (the flexo beard he wears, and the bowtie in the titanic episode) but as is usual with the wonderfully nerdy staff at futurama, it is dutifuly explained by david cohen that the chest and neck area are unaffected (though if a powerful enough magnet is around, it will effect him no matter what, like the magnacutioner in the second xmas)
in "bendin in the wind" we see bender get sucked up by the magnetized can opener and he goes crazy singing, however, in an earlier episode, 201, he gets sucked up by the top of his head into the can opener, but doesnt start singing?
whats up writers?

They had the can opener upgraded. Supermagnetised. Then a wizard did it.

They only damage him if they are put on his head.

I noticed the can opener when it doesn't make him sing, but I never thought of the bow tie or flexo beard.

it has to do with the magnetic field around the earth, and the position of the sun and moon, or i could just be spewing crap out of my mouth(which is the case), ill let you decide
