Is that who I think it is? (I apologize for the screenshot quality).

Here's an enlarged, but even blurrier screenshot of who I'm talking about.

Now, why is Michelle listed in the DOOP corps? She doesn't seem like the type to volunteer for the army- or anything for that matter. Perhaps Fry's old love has a thing for Leela's old lust. (Hey, it could work!)

Not saying it isn't Michelle, but there is a close look-alike to her that first appeared in "I Second That Emotion". I think she resembles the woman in uniform a bit more than Michelle (note hair details & color). here's a side-by-side. Michelle seems bit softer and pinker with smaller eyes with, like Leela, larger boobs. Hmmm, I just noticed Michelle dresses in what sort of adds up to purple too.

It could be that other woman, but since I find the possibility that it's Michelle more intriguing, I'll go with that.

I can see it being Michelle. I like Frida's theory too. Michelle seems to be the kind of woman that would actually like Zapp.

What's scary is that someone like Michelle could whip Zapp into submission - figuratively, since he'd like the literal whipping too much.  ;)  (And she'd earn the eternal gratitude of Kif...seconds before she ground him under her heel. On second thoughts, that'd make a hell of a story...  :D )

Now there's a 'ship to...run screaming into the night about.

Well if in the Futurama world all the characters have only four fingers why wouldn't they give statues the same amount of fingers.

Also, one of Amy's ads in the "Hi, how are you?" gag is 'Watch Comedy Central!'

Quick question; what's the name of the drink that Nudar has when they're playing the remote Pimpstar (gold Deathstar, whatever  :D )  game? It looks like it's parody of the Big Gulp, but I can't read the whole title. Is it Big Burp?

Anyone?

Maybe this other woman is a distant relative? (Farnsworth to Michelle's Fry)

Or it's just a massive coincidence?  ;)

Wow, so many goofs that I'd never picked upon before.

Well, regarding the Michelle theory... I don't rightly know. I think that its more likely that they're the same person otherwise it would be pretty stupid on the animator's part but then again... who knows. Also, I think that its highly unlikely that they're related: they have far too much in common. Hubert and Fry aren't even that similar looking.

I don't know if anybody brought this up before, but did anybody notice when Nudar entered the time sphere for the first time, Nibbler jumped up and hovered until the time sphere dissappeared? I don't think it was an animation goof, but is it possible that Nibblonians have the ability to hover a few feet off the ground?

I thought that more or less displayed how within the time sphere, time is going faster for you in there. That would explain how someone would leap into the time sphere, and then you would have the time to actually say what time you wanted to go to, and from the perspective of being outside of the time sphere the person would hop in and vanish instantly.

I'm not sure if that really made sense. I used the word "time" too many times.

It's possible that time stands still inside the timesphere, but Nibbler was hovering, bobbing up and down. It's also possible that the Nibblonians have some control over time and space due to the superiority of their race (though they can't travel back in time according to Nibbler).

By the way, there's no such thing as using the word "time" too much on a Futurama forum.

Well I didn't say that time was standing still - just that it was going at a faster rate than outside the time sphere, so Nibbler would still be hovering like that a little. I don't remember if he was bobbing up and down, though, in which case I think that'd be more of an animation goof.

Also, awesome.

No it was the 29 bus, not the 209, From Jurassic Bark:
Fry: His name was Seymour. He was once intimate with the leg of a wandering saxophonist. He had wet dog smell, even when dry. And he was not above chasing the number 29 bus.

Ray: The 29? Interesting.

Ray was the name of the guy with Ben Beeler, the other paleontologist the next line was by beeler saying that basically that was all he needed.  The entire sequence went something like this:
Beeler: Mr. Fry? I'm Dr. Ben Beeler, the palaeontologist who discovered your dog. Or as some call it, the "Beelersaurus".

Fry: So do I get Seymour back? Are you caving to political pressure?

Beeler: No, we're sorry but there's just too much that fossil can teach us about dogs from your time.

Fry: His name was Seymour. He was once intimate with the leg of a wandering saxophonist. He had wet dog smell, even when dry. And he was not above chasing the number 29 bus.

Ray: The 29? Interesting.

Beeler: That's all I needed. Ray?

Ray: I'm good.

Beeler: OK then. Here's your dog back.

I personally found it more surprising (and amusing) that Fry didn't recognise what was essentially just an older version of himself in Lars.

Having said that Fry is a bit dumb...though it was surprising that absolutely noone suspected.
