I'm really pissed off at the kind of shit people will take on board as a TV show, more specifically a cartoon.

(Futurama>The Simpsons>South Park>>>>>>>>> American Dad>>>>>>>>>>>>>Family Guy)

And I hate it that some people will put in a lifetime of effort to get their webshows/comic books published but they never get picked up for a prime-time show, but total dick-wits like Seth McFarlane, come up with a totally recycled idea, slap a few adult jokes and fart sounds in it and suddenly becomes rich!

It's a disgrace to the cartoonist community, I say!

Also I think they're trying to mess with us, tomorrow is the day Benders Game gets released in AU, guess what? Same day as FUCKING FAMILY GUY!

I thought that I was a ridiculous extremist against most fan-made material, but at least I clearly stated my reasoning.

Was I complaining? Was I ranting? Did I in any way give the impression that I was looking for sympathy? If so you need to learn how to read simple sentence structures FYP. You have been quite irritable lately.

imo the first 3 seasons of family guy are on par with futurama. However the post resurrection episodes are horrible. when futurama got resurrected i was hoping it wouldn't lose its greatness as well, and thank god it didn't.

I agree Zilex. I liked it until it came back from cancellation. The writers thought they could do whatever they want. Too much offensive and too many "flashback" sequences

Because with that show you dont need to think to enjoy it. Most people prefer not to think when watching TV.

I don't get it, if you don't like family Guy don't watch it, no one's forcing you to watch it or even enjoy it! Not that I'm a Family Guy fan boy... I don't mind it but it's not nearly as good as most animated series, but it just seems like you're overreacting way to much.

I actually think Family Guy is much better now than it ever was.

Back then it was a carbon-copy of the Simpsons in too many ways. Even basic storylines, Season 1 and 2 at least.

The Bird Is The Word motherfuckas :)

This is also more lulzy than a lot of things evah.

Nah. It's too predictable. I loved the unstable nature of early episodes. Same goes for The Simpsons, and South Park, come to think of it.

and South Park, come to think of it.

Anyone with half a brain realizes South Park got really really good on Season 5 and hasn't had a lot of bad episodes since then.

Who the hell likes Season 2-3 of South Park ? I'll agree season 1 is classic though, even if it hurts my groin to say so.

I never said that South Park was bad. I just preferred the unpredictable nature of the first ones. I mean, it's a good show, but you can tell where things are going to go from the first few moments. There are no surprises left.

I like TV shows that I can't map out in advance. The ones that throw curve balls.

I can't help but disagree, South Park (most of the time) is really damn twisted and you never really know where things will go from "first few moments".

The 2-part episode where Cartman freezes himself to get a Wii comes to mind right now.

New Zealand? They wish! Lano & Woodley were Austalian comedians, they made a show back in 1997 I think and they stopped doing shows together a few years ago, I saw their last show in Melbourne. Nowadays, Frank woodley does the occasional guest spot on some shows and he did a play by himself called 'posessed'.
