S4E02 We're all so Santa Clause reference to DEVO?

So I just saw S4E02 (Tale of Two Santas).  In the scene where the mayor is waiting for the random number generator to hit zero, Lela trots in the gang dressed as santas:

Fry: I'm Santa Clause.
Hermes: No, I'm Santa Clause.
Amy: We're all so Santa Clause!

That just reminds me of Devo (The music band) and I wonder if that scene is a reference to Devo where they do a similar "I'm Devo, I'm Devo, ... We're Devo".

Either way, there was a reference to something there and it would be interesting to see what it was a reference to.

As a long time Devo fan, I think I know what you're talking about (Boogie Boy gleefully proclaiming "we're ALL Devo!" before the "Satisfaction" video?), but don't think it's a Devo reference.

"Jocko Homo" is one of my favourite music videos ever. I'm pretty sure this is a Spartacus reference, not a Devo reference.

It makes more sense that it's a Spartacus reference.

If you have any interest in Devo's videos, you have to at least rent their video compilation DVD.  The original "Jocko Homo" video is on there as well as such video gems as "The Day My Baby Gave Me A Surprise," "Freedom of Choice" and "Beautiful World."  The commentary is fascinating listening.
