No, but I find it amusing that you seem well-involved in contributing to WiliPEELia, and refer people to it. One could easily get the impression you're saying, " Look! Look! See what I've done!" Not that I'm accusing you of anything... For that, I'd have to care!

That's interesting... I wasn't well-involved at the time I wrote that link... But I am now... SpaceCase can see the future! And the reason I am is because it's becoming the ultimate place to learn about the forum so newcomers don't end up embarrassing themselves. Something I sincerely wish I'd had... Also, I've added a recent news box to the Main Page. So, yeah, I'm proud a bit.

@ Xanfor & Coldangel: Oh, behave yourselves. Originally posted by zoidberg16: now, about the suicide booth... so where did the people who committed suicide go once they died in there anyway? (as in did the floor open so the body like falls somwhere) because they never really showed/explained anything much after they said it was made 2008 I've not found a framegrab of it, but if Lrrr can turn President O'Neal(sp?) into so much ash with a single shot from a hand-weapon, it stands to reason that clearing the "remains" from a suicide booth should be a snap. All it would take would be a 'zap', followed by a pan and broom or vacuum cleaner - and we do see a flash of light in the gaps around the booth door. Coldy seems to have one thing right though; it's a joke.Such things don't bear well the analysis we science-fiction geeks subject it to. I'll shut up now...

Maybe the booth has an internal motion sensor?

Originally posted by gaschief: Also that's a crock of shit about robots, trees etc having a delta wave, only human brains emit delta waves thats a scientific fact, No it isn't. You're making things up. Since, A: Sentient robots haven't even been invented yet, so how would you know? It's likely sentience needs to follow a specific blueprint, and all sentient beings, artificial or otherwise, have to be modelled on the same principle. And, B: The ability to measure the nerve analogue pulses throughout trees and plants is only just coming into its own as a very new science we know little about. A delta wave is a large, slow (2 Hz or less) brain wave recorded with an EEG and is usually associated with deep sleep. FYI. In REAL LIFE, it is only present in adults during deep sleep - when they're awake it is not active. This suggests that the 'Delta Wave' described in the Futurama universe is a FICTIONAL thing - not attributable to any 'scientific fact' you speak of. It's a cartoon.

Precisely You guys just love having a go at each other for the sake of it! I stand by it though, as a 'fictional idea' the delta wave detector in the suicide booth is great idea and explains the above noted anomalies, albeit with recourse to pseudo science, as Coldy said though it is only a cartoon, a really good one! I was really drunk when i claimed it was a 'scientific fact' Also I know what real delta waves are and am aware that the delta wave idea in futurama deviates considerably from the real thing! Its not like im the only one here new or not who has tried to support their opinion with a pseudo scientific argument!
