in the episode about poplers fishy joe claims that he owns a fast food franchise on every planet exept mc pluto but pluto has recently been un-planeted? well its not a planet anymore.... not to say that the makers of futurama could have forseen this but still humourous non the less. i thought it was funny anyway.

Funny thing is for about fifty years the Solar System was said to have eleven planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Ceres , Vesta, Pallas, Juno, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. SHORTLY avert the discovery of Neptune a whole bunch of asteroids were discovered at once and this lead to the recoginosation of a new species of object in the solar system. This lead to the deassification of Ceres, Vesta, Pallas and Juno as planets, though Ceres is now recognised as the only dwarf planet that is not a TNO.
In other asteroid news I believe Nasa is launching a probe to explore the asteroid 16 Psyche.
