It seemed to me that Phil Fry was pretty good about personal hygiene (he takes regular showers and keeps clean shaven and his hair rather well groomed) but his personal room and housekeeping habits are what makes most women scream and run for the hills.  The distinction there to me is that he keeps his clothes clean, but he is not so good about his room and locker arrangements.  I always rationalized it that he was taking regular enough showers to keep himself clean and he somehow (after the "I Robot" episode where Bender accused him of having  only one suit of clothes) was able to get duplicate copies of the 1980s clothes he loved so well.  Whether from a cloning machine or from some entrepreneur tailor who would make the clothes he wanted at a cheap price he was able to have duplicate copies of his favorite "Rebel Without a Cause" knock offs and the various cute 1980s evening wear and smart casual clothes he sports (and I LOVE it that he does  always try to dress for the occasion but in his own style.  He does come across looking quite handsome and stylish on his own 20th century terms... just have to accept  black and white Converse tennis shoes are the new formals

Sometimes when Fry loses his clothes, he magically gets his clothes back in the next scene or so.

Easy easy easy.
Fry DOESN'T BATHE! And he sleeps in his unmentionables which means that its very possible that he wears the same exact outfit every day. Every single day.

But Fry does shower. In 30% Iron Chef we CLEARLY see him shower. On the mysterious clothes, you notice everybody else wears the same thing day after day. Maybe there's a store where you can clone hundreds of copies of your clothes so you can wear them day after day after day...

I think I may have wookred it out but it isn't as interesting as cloning clothes (which I love the idea of)

In Roswell that ends Well Fry used an all-purpose spary that exactly matched the Military Uniforms, couldn't fry just have unlimitted supply of the spray.

Yes, but isn't he just pretending to shower (as per Love and Rocket)?

To quote Leela in The Day the Earth Stood Stupid...

"Why would Fry be immune to the flying brains? Becasue he doesn't shower?"

That's cartooning tradition, just like drawing only 4 fingers per hand.  It's the same thing with The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, etc; everyone pretty much wears the exact same clothing always...

In "I, Roomate", Bender says "Fry, you only have one set of clothes, and you ain't taking them off when I'm around" o something to that affect. It may be because he got kicked out of the building and literally now didn't own anything, or it could be a well known fact he wears the same clothes every day.

He probably had more made in some kind of futuristic device. A clothes xerox machine sounds like something the Professor would invent doesn't it.
