All right, the Alien Languages have been a pretty thoroughly dead subject for a long time, since there has not been new AL sightings to translate, let alone a new AL to crack.

In light of the announced new episodes, this may change in the not-too-distant future. We all know the nerdlingers at Futurama lurk around here sometimes, so I thought we need to show them that the demand for new AL stuff still exists.

So what do you people expect out of the future on this? AL stuff is something I can see Comedy Central feeling is a poor use of money, so they might not be enclined to encourage/support it. However, I think the nerdlingers at the show had as much fun coming up with the AL stuff as we did cracking it, so I'm hopefull that they won't let us down.

I'm hoping they'll give us something in AL2 with the missing symbol immediately. Personally I'd like to see them go with something completely different for AL3. Had an interesting idea; what if it were a binary-encoded language, and they concealed the messages in a much less obvious way. Example: tall buildings in background shots could have binay messages in the pattern of light in the windows, lights on=1, lights off=2. This would challenge us a bit more, and with a little clever scripting in their 3d renderer it could be done fairly easily.

I think it may still be applicable on CC since they could just use it on signs and grafitti like they used to, and those of us who know how to crack it can do so, and those who aren't aware of it will simply think nothing of it
