Fry and Leela's "Engagement."

How come Brannigan didn't still think Fry and Leela were engaged during "Brannigan Began Again?" I don't think he ever got any information otherwise.

What are you talking about...Zapp is a genius. He obviously knew the Fry/Leela engagement was a lie. That's why he set up that dinner with Fry, Leela and the Wongs--so he could see their little lie blow up in their faces. Unfortunately he was distracted by the ship being sucked into a black hole...but he still knew what was up.

Zapp might've snatched up a few tidbits of information during "When Aliens Attack". With both Leela and Fry enrolled in the DOOP military, he had plenty of opportunities to eavesdrop, or use spies.

Let me just bring one argument in the discussion about Zapp. He is kind of genious indeed. I believe so 'cause it takes really extraordinary skills to become such a... Zapper(?)

I side with Fishyjoe. He has cunning, but he is just brash and egotistiacal. When it comes to getting what he really wants, he plans ahead and thinks a little smarter. i.e. the dinner setup. Otherwise, he acts like a complete moron.
