Ok, I don't know if this's is the correct forum to say this, but I noticed something when I was re-watching Time Keeps on a slippin'. If this has been discussed before or peel isn't for this kind of things, please close the topic.

ok here it goes... when the time jumps for the first time we see:

Look where's Amy. Apparently nobody can sit on her right, there's no room. But then, when the time jumps again we see:

Now there's someone on her right. Any ideas?

This is where the writers and animators would scream if they heard this. They probably have This in mind when people ask these questions:

Top 7 reasons why fans suck
4. Fans sometimes point out mistakes or errors that a creator was praying that no one would notice.

I think that some guy just moved his folding chair to the front during one of the time jumps.

I didn't say it was an error. I just asked for ideas    :)

At least with this episode the writers have an out - since there was a time jump any number of things could have happened. They all moved their seats one over for example. You can see that guy behind Farnsworth - so maybe that was really his seat.
Maybe he saw Amy and decided to put the moves on her.  :)
Just my thoughts.

Kind of reminds me of the Star Trek:TNG episode where Data has to walk through multiple time-space images of himself to correct whatever that problem was. [I don't remember the specifics}

I think it's just a mistake of the makers, cause I don't think the makers will come on the idea to change them from seats. If I'm following Bendo's idea, this guy would come later back in the story, cause why introducing a guy with no role? And if you see his face, I don't really think he puts the moves on her.

But, if you put so many energy and time in an episodes, how could you make such a mistake? So maybe they really changed.

The more I think about it, the more I get confused of it.

Just an idea…

Okay, that's good, but I noticed something else. I don't know if it's been posted before, (this is my first look here (My God it's taken me a long time to come)) but as you can see above, Leela has pants under her skirt. In one scene she's wearing them, the next she's not, and the scene after that she's wearing them again. The time skips/jumps whatever you call them don't even occur during this time.

Future Angel is right. I noticed that the first time i saw the ep and was pointing it out to my friends the next day. Pants on, pants off, pants on. In my opinion the whole outfit looked cuter without the pants. They were an odd color that didn't quite go with that real pretty green jacket.

Bottom line:

It's a mistake, well spotted Lucas. Why am I so positive? because on the top picture there is knowhere for a seat to be placed on Amys right, so unless two whole rows all moved along a place then it's a mistake.

Some more strange things: Fry suddenly has a hotdog in his hand after a timeskip, and the row immediate behind the PE crew is now raised at least 40 cm.

I noticed something else:

Near the end when they are going to set the doomsday device. Leela lets Fry take the helm and she goes somewhere to set the device with Bender. Fry starts to fly the ship away, but when he sees the message in the stars he stops and goes to the window, then Leela begins the countdown, and detonates the doomsday device. While the black hole or whatever is being formed by the impolsion the ship flys away. Then it cuts to the bridge and Fry is still standing at the window and then Bender and Leela walk in. Did the ships personality fly it away this time, I got confused watching it since the ships personality hadn't been mentioned up to that date.  :)

No i don't think so, the ship moved to fast. I think at the speed it moved there would have had to have been someone behind the wheel.

Why would it be strange that Fry has a hotdog in his hand after a time skip?

And see those empty seats in the top picture next to Zoidy?  They all moved down a seat folks.

The reason for these changes is a design device to show that there *was* a time skip.  If everything was exactly the same after a skip, how would you know time skipped?
