The farnsworth parabox

sos if this thread already exsists but in the farnsworth parabox when everyone grabs a wire so they can find their way back to universe B (or one). When "everyone" grabs a length of wire there are only two to every role but when the wires begin to spin there are three - does anyone else see tht or is jus these damn eyes?

Here's a crazy idea: maybe give it more than 30 minutes before expecting an answer. PEEL is a message board, not a chatroom.

Anyway, yes, there are only 2 visible wire-ends on each reel at first, and more later. The most simple explanations are: the other ends were either hidden behind the reels, wound up on the reels or they cut a wire in half to make more ends.

yeah sorry I was jus bein impatient - if they cut the wires to make more ends then the scene would have to have jumped but it dint. The other explanation is pretty valid tho.

Ok i dont know if you all know this but, the walls in the Pe building in Univers 1 keep changing from blue to red

in some shots there red and in ethers there blue, i think the first on is when leela just opens the box in univers a, the wall is Blue, then when shes goes thought the box into univers 1 its blue as well!

Call the normal universe, universe A and the other universe, universe B.

when leela is guarding the box in the morning, she gets the idea to look into it, when she lifts the box open (hasnt fallen in yet!) if you look at the walls in the back ground (the hanger wall, they are blue but she is in Universe A. also when there in Universe B the hanger walls keep changing from being blue in one scene to red in another scene

It is true. The walls are blue before the act break and red after, if I recall correctly, which would either suggest that there were different directors/colourists for each act, or they just forgot.

Also, why isn't the Planet Express Ship recoloured?

I think (and don't quote me on this as this is the one disc I can't find - exactly when I need it of course) that you can see it in the background shots of the hangar - in the same shots you can see the alternating wall colour in fact   

I'll check CGEF, gimme a sec.

EDIT: Here we go. PE ship in the background in the parallel universe, but with ordinary universe colouring.

Cos I've just noticed another cock up in the colouring.

But first - Leela in Universe A - red walls, yellow box.



Leela in Universe B pre act-break - blue walls, blue box.



Universe B post act-break - red walls, blue box (no grab with both the box and Leela in it  )



BUT lookit!

This grab is before she goes into Universe B, so it should be red walls, yellow box, yes?


 
The first framegrab and the last framegrab are one after the other, so the blue walls are clearly a mistake, since in the next one, the walls are red again.

Damn that's confusing and good. I'm sure this wasn't intended. To be honest, if you two hadn't have pointed that out to us, we'd might never had noticed...or at least I wouldn't have. I watched it and I caught it! Huzzah! The red walls didn't confuse me, but it made no sense to make the parallel universe walls red after they were clearly blue.

@dawoodz: Thanks for the little tip. I usually am so hard on myself and tend to be unable to let something go, anything, even stupid stuff. Always have...Now it's a forcive habit I really like to call a Pet Peeve.
