They are almost the same and they are the same people, the differences I spotted are:

1)The 2 guys wearing blue, have T-Shirts in the top picture.
2)The Guy in the yellows hand is in a different place.
3)The skys shading is slightly different.
4)And some others either too obvious or trivial to mention.

The first one is drawn "fatter"; everything in the second one seems a lot thinner.

I'll look into that

good observation though!  I think it's cool.  If anything the "hooded" guy got skinnier, though it's probably just an optical illusion caused by the lack of the hood

They did loose their language, though (French)

Nice observation, BTW.

I'll blame it on subspace.   :D

It could be a lesson in "The more things change, the more they stay the same."  And Slims, check out "French Language Really Gone?"

I think 1,000 years from now, there will still be a difference between new york city pronunciation and texan pronunciation (Assuming the states remain in 1,000 years).
Same idea here.

Shown on the Map:
XORegon
High Cal
Nukevada
User ID:aho
24 Bit Colorado
Human Farm (in AL1)
Muontana
Wy(omega symbol)ing

The character omega is also the electric symbol for Ohms, so it is pronounced normally.

Hooray! I'm useful!

There were more than that - you forgot the entire east coast section, like New New Jersey.

When I redo the episode for AU (i only took a picture because of the AL) I'll have all the states. I'll post it then, unless I'm beat to it, which i will be.

When they did that scene, they probably altered it a little so they wouldn't have to re-animate a whole new scene.
