In less than hero fry jumps out the building and in about a second he comes up again in a superhero costume

In a taste of freedom if we and fry have just discovered freedomm day in this episodes but wouldnt it of happend all those other 3 years for fry

It's a parody of superhero movies, particular Superman. And didn't you see how fast he (Captain Yesterday) can move?

Thse are not faults, but just shows the characters have a life.

Just what I thought at first.  But I just thought of a second possibility, and ran to check the episode transcript.   It occurs to me that nowhere does it say for certain that Freedom Day is an annual holiday.  (Nixon refers to difficulties in "the last year," which implies it, but doesn't state it outright. )  So perhaps Freedom Day is held every four or more years, like Leap Year or the Olympics.
