In AOI 1 part 2, Leela shattered Bender (or "killed" him) with a Microwave, when she asked herself about what she should do with the body, suddenly she drives a little mini car made of Bender that actually said Honk.

If he "died", why can he still say stuff?
Or did Bender not really die?

Or maybe she made a horn out of Bender's voice chip...?

the horn sounded like bender. The only possible explanation is that it was leela.

So you're saying that you ruled out all other explantions, including the two veryplausible ones posted in this thread? What kind of weird reality are you hailing from?

Personally I think Venus have the best explanation.

If it was Leela who said "Honk" then how does she talk with her mouth closed? It was Bender's Voice Chip as said before.when Leela turned Bender's body into a Go-Kart she programed it to say "Honk Honk" then wired it up to the Horn.

I think she either put in a horn or wired Bender to say honk on his still functioning voice chip when she pressed the button.

personnelly however i dont really care all that much

Anyone who tries to argue against this theory fact by trying to explain how Leela spoke in Bender's voice while keeping her mouth closed is an idiot.

I don't care what anyone else said, but Venus' explanation is the most right.  Also, it was a little clever foreshadowing to the episode "The Honking".

Venus's thoery makes the most sense. Maybe Bender's voicechip isn't made of metal, so it wasn't destroyed, or something. Or it could be that Leela fixed it.

We could just say it was due to the What-If Machine being slightly off by 1/10th of a plasubility unit!  :)

But I think Venus has it with this one. Leela probably had to reprogram it though, because otherwise the Bender-cart could still reveal what had happened to him to say, Amy just before she got mysteriously murdered.....

I think Leela made that steering wheel.  And when you press the button, it made Bender go "honk! honk!"

Yeah, Venus has a plausible explanation. That Leela herself produced the sound simply makes no sense.

talking about plausability, it is supposed to be

very accurate but in antohlogy of interest 2

leela wonders "what if i found my real home" and

in episode "leelas homeworld" she finds her true

home but none of that actually happened

oh, and welcome to peel!

Yes, but that was a dream, and not produced by the what-if machine.

Also, Andy, (yes, it was a dream (I totally forgot about that! bleh) but the what if machine isn't necessarily 'accurate' rather it is described as being plausible.

Obviously Bender was dead.  Still though his face is now his crotch, a little go-kart Leela's crotch sits in.  Anyways his mouth is still made out of silicon, metal, and ???  Anyways, that's how he can still say stuff... it's like when you rig up the button on your doorbell with a nail so that when people press it their finger gets poked and also you put deadly venomous snake poison on it.  Anyways, he can still talk, but Leela wired up his crotch with wires so that when she pressed the button it would spit out snake venom.

It's pretty clear you can't kill a robot.  You can render them non-functioning and cannibalize them for salvage parts just like you can with humans.  The difference is you can't build a go-kart out of human body parts...it's just way too hard to rig the vocal chords to say "honk honk".

Actually, it's ultimately one of the best reasons.  It's all about Seniority... DrT has been here longer AND has a higher post count... he could easily swallow someone whole like cujoe169!

Wake up and smell the nonsense.

Venus has it, and why this topic is still reeling in doubters is beyond me.
