H'mmm...it sounds to me like he's saying the phrase "Play that thing," which was often yelled at jazz musicians by the fans in the audience from the '20s through roughly the '70s...kind of like "Boogie" was yelled at rock musicians during the '70s.

Zoidberg's clearly saying "Play that thing" in this clip. I hardly find out how could Zoidberg's voice end up sounding like "shit" instead of "thing".

Maybe you just thought it sounded like "play that shit".  One time I saw a TV spot for the movie, "Meet the Fockers" and it almost sounded like they said, "Meet the Fuckers".

What episode is that line from?  I couldn't access the sound.

(then absolutely no subtitle for Zoidberg's line.)

So, the line in question gets conveniently skipped. Plus, the subtitles aren't really the most accurate things in the world. I mean, just in that one, they call Leela "woman".

I agree with the mob about it sounding like "Play that thing," but I don't think it's stupid to think it's "shit". Could've been like one of those omni things, where Billy West said whatever popped into his head and didn't expect it to be audible, and then it was, but it was an inconsequential enough line to escape the censors' notice.
