Oh my god, that is the dumbest thing about Smithers I've ever heard ANYONE say. He IS scared of strippers - just watch the Season 13 episode "Hunka Hunka Burns In Love"... and his love for Malibu Stacey dolls was one of the biggest hints in the show that he was gay. I mean, name one straight man who collects dolls, for fuck sake. How the hell did you even make a connection between strippers & dolls to begin with anyway?! God damn...
Okay, in an attempt to get back on topic - if I remember correctly, after dozens of "You're wrong" replies to Knowsfords' theory of Amy being Farnsy's daughter, the topic somehow got to us talking about Amy (being an intern and all) and Farnsworth having some sort of sexual relationship... Personally, I think this is just as ridiculous as the first theory. I mean, even though Amy is a bit of a slut, she's also pretty shallow. I highly doubt she'd EVER engage in intercourse with the professor, it'd just disgust her too much - and Amy's not exactly the type of person to stay quiet in situations where she's disgusted.

Jerkberg, Just because you enjoy stripping Barbie dolls doesn't mean Smithers does. Heres the problem with your assertion as I see it. You simply, just dont make connections between the old Simpsons and the new Simpsons. They are practically independant of each other. Two different shows. The new story behind Smithers gayness and his attatchment to Burns was just another twenty minutes to pad out yet another Simpsons series till they can manage to get to Twenty years. It means nothing more. Its not wise to read too much into the Simpsons, just as It's not wise to read into Family guy and especially not Futurama. Continuity and Logic are just not concepts emphasised in this Genre of cartoon. Or have you forgotten the Poochy episode of the Simpsons?
