in relation to a different topic that is now closed. in crimes of the hot bender helps all the robots by using his exhaust i think but what is strange is how come flexo wouldn't be pulling off such a flame. i mean they are both bending units.

Flexo isn't a lovable rascal.

Or Bender had some improvements/enhancements installed.

They didn't get a good shot of Flexo did they?

Anyway, the reason Bender's exhaust made the difference isn't because his flame was so large. It was because in order for the exhaust to move the planet, every robot was needed. It didn't matter who it was; if anyone was left out it wouldn't have worked. It just happened to be Bender.

Yeah, Bender was the very last robot to let it out, and thus be the pushing force needed to exceed moment of inertia.  But yeah, his flame is soooo big cause Bender is the best at polluting.

The othre robots were venting gradually, but Bender didn't have to keep it going for as long, so he blasted all at once.

Actually, I thought Flexo did die when he was crushed by the unbendable girder.

There had to have been other bending units created, such as Bendoid, Bend Vereen and Gentle Bend.  Remember all of his competitors at the Olympics?  I think Bender is just the robot version of Le Petomane, and his uniquely cultivated ability to be crude and obnoxious helped save his fellow robots that day.

There are tons of Bending Units, of course more were there....

Flexo's name appeared on the Wheel of Robots in TDHAIP, so he must not be dead. But then again, Liubot and Comrade Greeting card were on there too and they did die...

Even dead, they would still be in Robot Hell, wouldn't they?

There are probably thousands of robots on Earth at that time.  I find it incredibly unlikely that the animators had the time to show *all* of them, or even the robots we've been introduced to during the course of the series.  Sure, Flexo isn't there, but neither is Angleyne, nor a few others, probably.
