Bender's bending

In "Space Pilot 3000" Bender told Fry that he bends girders between 30 and 32 degrees, but in "How Hermes Requested His Groove Back" the dumped down Bender bends a tube in a 90 degrees angle.

This time they can't wizard themselfes out of it.

He sayd that he could bend them in ANY degrees. And he came up with three examples...30, 32 and 31 degrees.

The way I understood was that he could only bend theese 3 degrees.

I have taped the episode and seen it alot of times, so im pretty sure. But can someone else help?

He said he could bend a girder to any degree.  Seems pretty clear-cut to me.

Incidently, the tubes aren'y girders.  They're tubes.  Thus, Bender didn't bend them.  Besides, he only bent girders for suicide booths.

I can bend tubes at any angle if they are made from copper and are 15mm in depth

I agree bender could bend to any angle. Besides even if he couldn't that was only his old programing. So by the time he realized he could bend anything he wanted he must have also realized he could bend it to any angle.

180 degrees would mean he would fold it like the professor. and 360 degrees would mean he put a circle in it

I was a nitpicker, before I became a Futuraman so I could come up with some really nitpickish arguements for why I think my initial post is correct, but I don't think nitpicking is in the spirit of this forum. And this sentence also gets a

Even Bender himself is very Flexible. Remember that he had upgraded his Funk card? He was bending all over the place

Bender have done alot of things but one thing is so not right... flush him self down the toilet?

I don´t know what should he flush with his mind?
"I Second that emotion" but maby that is just a djoke.. seen it before on the first ep... when benders arms goes of after bending the "forbinnen bending" so he put them on whit the one hand thats on the flour.... its kinda funny when u think about it

Well, There was one thing he said he couldn't bend or bend into. In "I dated a robot" he said that he wouldn't bend that way. But in the end he did bend...in that way...
