You know what? I totally agree with you. I get upset when guys say: "OMG u gurlz cant play hahahah", but I also get upset when I see the girls you describe (it's a different story to say you do it as a hobby and play the way you put it, of course).
I consider myself a serious player... I practice every day, learning new scales, writing stuff, analyzing music, and learing to apply all the stuff I learn. I hope to give "girl guitarist" a much better connotation one day.
