Idea for a Melbourne AGI:
How about the 7th of January (next Friday) for the Melbourne PEELathon?
Now that it's obvious we aren't going to get anybody outside of Melbourne to come here, we need to find all the Melbournian PEELers we know of who're available.

I'll pass. Unless some micacle of nature gives me a ride up there. And i'm not taking the train until i get an mp3 player, even then i'm buggered if i know what time the trains leave here. I doubt it's conveniant.

If you can get ahold of Robiben; ask him to see if Melbee will come too. She's still in Melbourne, or at least, she should be.

I'm free for sure on the 7th, and about the week or two after. My sister is having two uni friends from Adelaide stay over at our place, so gosh darnit I need to get out of the house.

Hey guys, I'm here in Melbourne (and loving it) and would love to come, but I'm in New Zealand on hols for three weeks! I'm back on 23rd January so can make it any time after that - I'm here till June. I live in South Melbourne at the mo near the beach. Huzzah!
You can contact me by email (as per profile) I read them about once a week, and I can get in touch with Robiben to invite him. He'd need some notice if it was at the weekend though.

Also, you wouldn't happen to have a rough idea of the price of a train ticket from syd to melbourne return would you? (That is if it happens, and that is if its in melb.)

But if we have it in sydney, the brisbane people wouldnt have to go as far as if we had it in melbourne and vice versa if we had it in brisbane. I guess the main goal is to get as many people in the one place as possible, so have a think about it.

Do we need have a vote or a poll or something? because we can't start organizing it properly untill we at least decide wheres its going to be.

Also the four of you all have full time jobs (if not, then it's about time you got mum to stop washing your undies), so it'd be easier for you to make the trip with your bags and bags of money.

OH oh !!! Yes, I was talking to Robiben about it in #fc the other week. I've already named it "PEELalia" .... and I'm moving to Melbourne next week. Yeaaaah... But I can and will be back to Sydney at least 1 more time this year.

anyway, we should take a page out of everyone elses books where they fly across the country (sometimes across the Atlantic) to attend one of these things. We sure are a bunch of whingers... but that's probably why we've never had one before. 

And as far as your young whipper snappers go, we can organise something fun for daytime then send you home, and the rest of us will crack out the "fun" later at the Pub! I dunno, how do the AGI'ers do it?
