People post albums from their personal collections a lot.  So there's a theme to most of the lists.  This one seems to have a pretty good amount of variety in terms of genres; I guess it's all vaguely "alternative" from the pop music perspective, and it seems to all be American and from the '90's, but that's what's out there.  Now, if I get my chance, I'll show you variety.  I got in too late on this one, though.

I know, but punk, hardcore, emo-core, industrial, industrial metal, noisecore, metal, and rock are all basically the same thing. I mean I like that sort of music, but I dont know much about it. Indie albums would be nice, maybe folk, some of the less obscure stuff. And I know that Depeche Mode, etc. aren't that kind of music, but the majority are.

I've posted loads and loads of different genres, check the last thread.

There's only one way to contribute to the covers quiz.  Win one.  ;)

Thats the point. I cant win one, because I dont know enough about the only genres that are posted and so I cant win one to put on different genres which would give me a chance to win one... *confuses self*

Have you even read the last thread?  There were loads of different ones posted (do I stutter?).

There are other ways to get in on the quiz, if you read through this thread (or the other) you'll figure out how.

I havent been here for a while, Melll, so I didnt get to read the other thread. And I'm totally oblivious to subtle hints, so I'm screwed, aren't I?

People have different tastes, someone will eventually post some that you know. Patience, most of us haven't had a go yet!

(btw, this stuff isn't obscure. At least you could find most of it in a high-street shop!)

You'll eventually get a go, everyone will.  Sooner or later someone passes (Otis might, yet).

So, I suggest getting 10/12 of your own ready, to post in case someone does pass.  If your tastes are so radically different.

We've had some tough quizzes in the past, but we've got through them, via clues, and good hard thinking.

Then, edit the covers with whatever image program floats your boat (there's plenty of free ones which will do such simple stuff as this) to remove text and re-size them to uniformity. You're free after that to upload your choices to your webspace. Don't have webspace? Get some webspace!

I've collected a set of covers, so if there ever is a pass, I can provide them. They are not too easy, but not too hard, and there are a few that Love_For_Leela might get. Ok, maybe not.

The problem though is that I need someone to host them up, as I don't really have webspace with lots of bandwidth. But that's easy enough, hosting up 10 jpg's isn't too much of a stress.

Oh holy lord.  I got it.  You never should have made that post in the "best rock band ever" thread.  The last one is Meg Lee Chin - Piece and Love.  It all clicked into place.  And I don't even like industrial music.

Anyway, I've got 10 album covers ready to post. I'm just waiting for Teral's FTP to start working again. If it's not working by tonight, I'll pass. But knowone just assume I'm passing. I'll say if and when I do pass.

Cheers, Otis.     :)  Let's try to keep this to the quiz.

I'll say one more thing on this, before I wind my neck in.

Since when is Bill Hicks, Depeche Mode, Black Box Recorder, Air, The Chemical Brothers and Chris Morris part of that genre of music?

If you'd read the first two posts of this thread (nay, the first three pages), you would have seen that the above were only Jon's choices, and there'd have been little need to bitch about the content of this thread, if you'd paid any attention to it.

If you're gonna complain, do your homework!

Also, my quiz had a straight-up gangster rap album in it. That's about as metal as a cushion.
