Am I allowed to post album covers for people to guess even if you havent finished off all your covers, mel?

I got 10 covers all ready, but I didn't want to screw up the game.

This winner of that last quiz goes next.  Unless he passes, then, you're in.

Only two to go on this, it won't last much longer.

EDIT:

#12 was correct, SixByNine.  It was Chris Morris' "Blue Jam", therefore, one to go (and it's still open):

Standings:
Spicey - 4
Sammy - 4
CannedEggs - 4
Evan - 2
Hil - 2
Lurrr - 2
Spiff - 2
SixByNine - 2

I'm interested to see what the Lovable Rascal will post, so unless Eggs or Spicey have any objections of their own, i'm more than happy for Jon to take it.

Well, on the first pages of the first topic, it was fairly easy... Unfortunately, I was unaware of its existance and therefore, I could not pitch in... But now I only recognize a couple in each quiz, and they're always guessed by the time I finally drag my digital ass in here...

This quiz was easier when we had the listening thread, as you could equate covers with the posters listening habits.  Nowadays, it's much more about skill, knowledge, and how much of a music-geek you are.

Considering my favourite book and movie is High Fidelity, I think that says a lot.

Now, if Eggs is cool with it, then Jon's up.

I'm cool with it.  I'd like to take a whack at it eventually, seeing as I've never done it before, but I never paid attention to the old thread until recently, so I'd probably pick a bunch of ones that have been done before.  Come on, Jon, let's see what all the hype is about.

I bet I could make some kind of challenging quiz, but there are TWO obstacles: 1) I have no scanner and no image editing util. 2) I'll probalby never win this... Grrrr!

Tikka: You don't need a scanner, just grab the covers off of Amazon, or the band's discography on their official website (which it's more than likely that they'll have). Plus, there's always Google.

Then, edit the covers with whatever image program floats your boat (there's plenty of free ones which will do such simple stuff as this) to remove text and re-size them to uniformity. You're free after that to upload your choices to your webspace. Don't have webspace? Get some webspace!

Yeh, my only problem is the webspace one.  It's hard to find space without a bandwidth cap, and you don't want people guessing at little red x's.

Did Jeremy get both the album and the artist? Because if he did he should get 2, if he didn't we should know.   :p

Also, I didn't say the album title, only the artist, but you put down that I did... oh well.  :) I'll say it now, NOFX - War on Errorism

Having an opinion like that must mean you know what the album covers are... But I don't even see one guess, and when you posted that there were quite a few left...

If me and Spicey are correct (well, I know I am), it means that there are only two covers left, and Otis has an unassailable lead, as there are only 4 points up for grabs (with a 6 point lead).

Start getting your covers ready, Otis.  :)

Ok, here are some hints on the two last albums:

CD 5 is from an artist from Pigface
And CD 6 is a solo album from skinny puppy.

Never before would Sarah McLaughin and Hatebreed be labeled "the same type of music."

And what, LoL would you recommend?

I wouldn't  :p

Just because you have a 'girlish folk' album there doesn't excuse the excess of heavy 'rock'. To be fair, I wouldn't complain if it wern't for the fact that I hate that type of music. Anyway: I have no Idea what any of those albums are, I'm just gonna wait for the next one.
