i chose there is very little that is good. If i were to tune into the radio it would be to a classical station. The Chicago radio stations all suck, if it's a rock station it's all just we get paid to play this songs. if it's hip hop, then it's alljust we get paid to play this songs. over and over and over for all of them.
i completely agree with Just Chris when he says it's more visual marketing now than music. look at eminem, kylie, evanscene - they can delude themselves into thinking that they are musicians but really they are just marketing tools.

Don't you get any Blues stations in chicago?
I would've thought there'd be quite a few but then I've never been there or to america either...

One day though.

As for the visual marketing, I agree, music (for me anyhow) is intended for the ears, a video provides a distraction to the quality of the tune.
Also, instrumentals are better....

In Holland we have the Arrow Classic Rock station, that's pretty cool. But it's not on the ether or whatever that is called, only cable so I can't listen to it at work.
Most of the other channels suck

Finally someone agrees with me about Chicago blues.  Not that the Blues Brothers didn't rock.

I listen to the J's as well, but not very often. Only in the morning, for Adam and Wil, who are actually funny most of the time. And I have a crush on Wil. The music they play has gone down big time. Otherwise it's CD's, and if we're driving home early in the morning 94.5 that plays old time sing along 80's pop.
