The [wikipeelia]WikiPEELia[/wikipeelia] is up with images now (thanks Spaceman). As far as I can tell, the only thing that's missing is a favicon.

Edit: I did a quick edit to my page, I'll probably be doing more across the Wiki in the coming days. Noticed mArc's done a few edits as of late, like some of the changes he's brought about (especially the category for out-dated articles).

Quoting myself due to a recent incident:

I think we need a few features and near consensus on a few things. My suggestions would be:

Rules I'd like to see:

• Everyone should [be] able to say "This does not go on the page about me because I don't want it to be there". It should overrule what Superusers/wikimods think should go on someones page and extend to the right to have references to oneself removed from other pages of the wiki.
• Every Superuser/wikimod should be able to say "this does not go on your page because it is not in line with the wiki rules/peelgeist."
• Everyone should be able to have the page about themselves be locked until they decide otherwise.

As wikipeelia is now running on peel's server, the suggestions became rules and "should be" is to be read as "shall". In particular, if someone removes info from his/her page, it's not going to get readded.

I've made a couple of changes to my page. Well, three or four edits. Maybe five. Eventually I manged to get it as I wanted it. My user page and article are now seperate entities. Confusing? But of course. Since they are mine to play with, I decided to play. I may very well revert them back once I become bored and decide that my alterations are childish, but in the meantime it amuses me.

haha, im starting to agree with that. after ten years im ive come to realize that about everything i know about Jon ten years ago was a lie. and hes having everything legally changed. He had a bitchfit at me on facebook because I wrote on his wall that he lied about his birthday in his info section. He hates this place so at least I wont hear about this post too

I don't lie about my age, but I'm rather difficult to grasp the date of my birth out of.  I think it's because I grew up without celebrating it for the most part and it went more downhill as I went into early adulthood.  So I have sort of a personal attention craving situation where I don't want anyone to know my birthday so I can mope about it and dwell on the fact that I'm alone.  I know, that sounds pretty fucking gay, and instead I should just get together with friends and get really drunk and put bad birthdays behind me.

Also, when you're a time traveller who has seen and manipulated his own conception date, it becomes a fuzzy sort of thing as to ascertaining when that specific date of starting existence actually was.  Besides, since our souls were created in a time without time, the actually answer is Never or Always depending upon which way you look at it.

Hey dudes, am looking to start a wiki with some people from work, just for our own personal use, something we can all edit/collaborate on. Exactly like how WikiPEELia works, but on a much smaller scale. Is there an easy way to set one up? I know there's Wikia, but that seems a little too open. I know the ideal situation is installing it on someone's server, BUT I don't think any of us have one, nor the technical knowhow in managing one (A server that is).

Is it possible to install one on super cheap hosting somewhere?

I also found Wikidot, which doesn't seem to be Wiki's exclusively, but does seem to have a "Collaborative" specific one.

So yeah, jist of it is:

I want a cheap/easy wiki type site that 3 or 4 people can access/edit from anywhere.

Any suggestions/tips/points in the right direction would be much appreciated

Here is a nice comparison table of different wiki hosting services you might find useful. Keep in mind the licensing terms on some of them, though, if you want to keep the rights to whatever you upload.
