As I recall, they had conspired to pretend to be brother and sister at a PEELathon and start smooching on each other to make everyone else uncomfortable.  That would have been awesome.

The daily hate-mail.

Actually don't knock it too much, stuff that's in the Mail today is usually true in about 3 to 5 years. The thing about immigrants eating swans was laughed at until it actually happened. They just happened to be wrong about the nazis...

There's a great quote in Private Eye about the mamil this week. Taken from something Richard Littlejohn wrong in the Mail itself:

"And if you need to be reminded of the awfulness of modern Britain as you relax in a sun-drenched foreign resort, there's always the daily Mail, printed around the globe, available from your friendly beach-side newsagent and online."

The Irony of it... oh lord did I laugh when I read that one.

It's funny, members of the Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter-Day Saints are called "Mormons" after the angel which appeared to Joseph Smith.

But the angel's name was "Moroni", not "Mormoni"...

I don't see why that should surprise you.  We're a varied bunch, and there are members from different backgrounds here, and a lot of us have differing religious beliefs.  I think what I like best is that most people here are very accomodating to the differences of their fellow PEELers and for the most part we respect eachother equally.

I also want to point out that it was MY idea to pretend to be brother and sister and then make out a peelathon.

This idea made Molly and everybody else very uncomfortable, and they wouldn't let me go through with it. I thought it would have been hilarious, but I guess I can understand everybody else's objections.

Also: not to get churchy or anything, but a quick response to all mormon related posts: yes I am mormon, no I didn't meet Molly at a singles mixer, and Moroni and Mormon are two different guys.

Oh, I know that, I was citing a common misconception. Thanks for finally saying something though, it would have been embarrassing something fierce to have to admit on my own that I stated a falsehood. Even if it was for the marginally humorous impact.
