So why is there no entry for Sil?

There should be some info on our resident female light-saber owning Jedi.

Like, is it true that Sil is the forgotten daughter of Luke and Leia and she was raised by a herd of Wookies?

We gotta know.

It's a part that we'd all like to forget.  Luke and Leia kissed during the original Star Wars and had a child.  When they later learned that they were brother and sister, they silently shipped the newborn girl-child off with Chewbacca's family to get her out of the public eye.  Leia being a Princess, she couldn't be accused of incest - otherwise the scandal would have destroyed the Rebel Alliance and given Darth Vader the chance to become the new leader using the "Family Values" platform.

You may have missed it - it was a part that Lucus rivised.*

*I hope you know that this is satire.

I can't claim originality on the title - I believe Gopher suggested it in the last page of the previous thread. Also thank you for the wiki page  ;) I don't have a clue how to do those things and in any case I wouldn't know what to write  :)

According to all Expanded Universe sources, Luke and Leia are human, and would therefore reproduce in the same way as you and your own (undoubtedly lovely) wife.

No, they are simply an alien species that looks exactly like humans, and are also called humans.

I mean, they are are in a galaxy far, far away. Or they were. It depends on how long "a long time ago" is.

Well, then hhow about we drag some other science fiction novels into this, such as the countless ones that claim that an alien race biologically engineered the seed that started life on Earth to create us, humans, as copies of themselves. Assuming that "a long time ago" is a very long time ago, that race might have been the people from the Star Wars universe.

That's a stupid idea. How could they start with the first proto-cells knowing that the conditions would be exactly right for something like us to evolve?

Since Star Wars is already more science fantasy than science fiction, I'm not one to say that all those other books and movies make no sense in comparison.

Humans are adapted to earth. If you think about it, this planet is perfect for us. There is no way in a galaxy where long distance space travel is possible, that they could turn out like us. Since they live on completely different planets, with much different climats, and have the ability to move to others.

In short terms- I agree with wooter. Luke and Leia are not humans, just similar.

Nobody raised an eyebrow when it happened in Mission To Mars... I guess that's the seductive powers of Gary Sinise at work.

True and true. But most people I've had the misfortune not to be able to avoid discussing it with seem to agree that the gangly dude in the face represented a human being a bunch of steps higher on the evolutionary ladder.

Also, CrapBag, I don't know why you think long distance space travel would have had that big an impact on the people of Star Wars. It's still a semi-recent invention compared to the time evolution needs to take its toll. I'm not assuming hyperspace jumps were possible immediately after life started crawling around on the planets in that galaxy.

But in the end, we all know this is all about Ralph not knowing how to reproduce, and no amount of pulp science fiction will rectify that solid fact.
