I'm confused with something, TNUK. You had 10907 posts at the time of the founding of the TotalpenceUK. There were 22100 Nixorbucks at the time of the TPUK's founding. Thus, half your posts (5453.5) plus the total Nixorbucks at the time of founding (22100) is 27553.5. Explain your mathematics, or should I say mathemagic? Hmmm? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

I'll consider joining the mint community after I've thought long and hard about the rules and how to best go about following them; as well as possibly creating infrastructure for my new monetary presence (pictures etc.).

Hmmm... just a suggestion here, not trying to usurp your role as head treasurer or anything tnuk... but ummm... Wouldn't it be influential to add maybe one or two more variables into total first run (only run) production of moneys?  Say... half your post count times half the number of years you've been on PEEL?  It might be too complicated, but it adds another layer and makes some sense from a real world standpoint: older banks usually have more stability and presence in the market, no?

I was planning on featuring PEEL currencies as representation for the score in my upcoming PEEL game (working title is currently

PEELer Kombat), and I think it would be beneficial to all parties if interest were renewed in the PEEL Mint.

For my game, I plan on having an option that allows the user to represent the score in many different well established PEEL currencies, as they choose.  Since the exchange rate of all PEEL currencies were originally based on the Nixorbuck, I would make the score and the default representation be in Nixorbucks, and other currencies the user might choose would be represented off that. 

In order to implement such an option (which I know is mostly just for show and just to inject more PEEL into the game atmosphere) I would want permission to use well established currencies as well as 3 other things.
Those 3 things being:

• The name of the currency.
• The symbol representation of the currency.
• The rate exchange of the currency in respect to the Nixorbuck... preferably in a fractional representation.

So far, I've got these resources to utilize:

But as you can see, those two tables contain parts of the overall information I need, and are very different to eachother.

More about the Mint itself... I've talked to a few PEELers who originally participated in the game, and they've expressed interest in playing again.  I'm proposing that the PEEL Mint wiki article be unlocked and people allowed to play again.  I know this was originally tnuk's pet and he wanted to be very strict about the rules so as to make everything accurate.  If I were to implement the option in my PEEL game that I mentioned above, I would also strive to maintain accuracy where possible, and in order to do that I might need an updated version of one of those tables, with clearly established currencies being represented.

Feel free to hijack it. Just don't let anybody break the basic rules on the Mint page and you shouldn't be able to go wrong.

As far as an updated table goes, you should probably just use the last one on the wiki.

All right, the game has now been officially reopened. Thank you, Gopher, for unlocking the wiki pages. 

Everyone note that I've reformatted the pages to reflect the fact that this is a complete reboot as tnuk has specified, and as a side effect everyone has lost their previous holdings. Also, tnuk has Nx$2,000 again, which is what he had before he originally started this thread. If I've misunderstood something, and it turns out he actually lost his Nixorbucks in some other manner of which I am not aware, let me know and I'll correct it.

Anyway, these pages for the game I'm referring to are here and here. Let me know if everything's in order or if I messed up or if I have forgotten something.

Shouldn't the Nixorbuck be in there regardless of if he picks up the game again or not?

And I can't remember what the new rules are, but as a suggestion I would say it's very simple to set up the economy so that all other currencies were based off the Nixorbuck.... preferably in simple fractions.

The amount of your currency equals half your post count when you minted it plus the number of Nixorbucks in circulation at the same time. (Nx$24,300, tnuk says on the previous page, but Nx$22,100 says i_c_weiner and the wiki... I've already gone with 24,300 for everyone, but I can fix it if there are objections.)

When tnuk decided to revamp the page.  Where does Nx$22,100 come from though?  I'm pretty sure Nix has minted more than that over the years.... isn't there a page he has detailing it?

I think higher numbers = better... but if it's really 22,100 then that's fine by me.

Yeah, the numbers don't make sense. Nx$ are most prized, so there are less of them. That's cool and makes sense, but then if someone has only been on here 2 days and decides to make a currency, theirs will almost be just as rare as nix's....
