wait, wait... your flight gets in to Newark at 3:30? or 5?

Mom: I will be at your BBQ, as long as someone can drive me. I don't eat anything, and I just got put on antibiotics, so I won't be drinking any alcohol either.

DrT: I would totally go, but isn't it all kinds of sold out and hundreds of dollars?

Basically. You'll have a job getting tickets, especially after its recent award...

Any solid plans for what we're doing in the city on Saturday?  El Controller de My Life (I'm...so....multilingual...) requires an itinerary. Obviously, there's no way we'll stick to it, but even I'd like to know if we're doing anything for sure.

tell  your mommy we'll be in the city all day. I'm sure we'll take the PATH into the WTC, maybe walk down to look at the Statue of Liberty (and I guess we can pass Wall Street on the way, thus killing two lame landmarks with one walk). I assume we will go to Times Square at some point... Can you just say that?

You know... the family "Nasty" has an annual BBQ.  If all goes well and you're all good little boys and girls, I'll just add y'all to my annual list.  Therefore, maybe be a yearly gig for the "Beerded Weirdies".

For those of you who know what Carmine's is (I'm looking at you, Skusting and eggs), how would you feel about making rezzies for dinner there?  It could give us PEELers a communal feeling.  Unless anyone's up for sushi. I'm good for that, since I didn't get to participate last time  :p  I only ask about dinner because a group our size should probably make reservations a couple days in advance.

Carmine's? $9 for a side order of brocolli. A side order of spinach for $10. Or $20 for a plate of ravioli. I don't think so.
$6.50 for garlic bread?
It could give us PEELers bankruptcy feelings.

Hey, nothing beats the buffalo wings at ESPN in Times Square.  Or the "world famous" Tick-Tock Diner on the corner of 8th Avenue and 34th Street.  Unfortunately, I will not be in NYC for the event.  I have a video job that evening, but have one for me.  None of that "near beer", I want a good Amber brew.

Carmine's menu

:laff: That would be because each order serves about 4 people.  It's one of those restaurants where you go with ten people, pick three dishes, and you share everything. It works out to be a pretty decent price per person.

"The food at Carmine's is served family style-- generous portions are made for sharing. "

That's the "communal" part I was referring to. Plus, the food's pretty good.

Even if we don't go there, I still think it would be a good idea to make reservations somewhere if we plan on eating together.  After all, it's a Saturday night and there will be at least 15 of us.

You know what, I'd love to.  This trip - if you remember - is free for me, there's no reason I cannot make it a yearly thing.

Would be cool to globe-trot to see a few friends.  We'll discuss it on the day, see how we feel.

That is a tragedy.

Can we get Nasty's bass player (save for the miraculous appearance of DaveMason), and we'll put Eggsy down for the spot next year?

No luck, my band is currently bass-less.

And unfortunetly my Dad's band has their gig at the Meadowland's bar, so he can't play...

Hmm, what to do....

I'll willingly sit out, or percuss on something, jam or whatever, then we'll do the full-band thing at the next one.

All this is academic if we actually get a bass player to come.

That said, Eggsy, don't feel bad.

Well, a bass player isn't a neccesity, I mean we can still play. It obviously won't sound as good, but we can still have fun.

And about the Drumz, I'm going to ask my drummer if I could steal his set for you to use on Friday.

Hmm... I posted but then it wasn't there.

Anyway... ESPN Zone is good, but massively, ridiculously expensive for the food they serve. $12 for chicken fingers isn't really worth it. You pay for the atmosphere.

Bergey, if Kloudes goes off and cuddles with everyone under the sun, I'll stick with you and cuddle. Because you need love too.

We are SOO going to Carmines. The only problem is that for a big party, we'll probably need to cal ahead. Or wait awhile. Spend $10 a person and we'll have enough for all weekend.

Australian dollars are Monopoly money.

Edit:  VF, don't worry about Doc Thunder.  The shape that plane is in, he won't survuve the landing.  Problem solved.

Kloudes, I will eat the hell out of some sushi.  Next year.  Even though I never eat at these things, for some reason.

Sure, there's a luggage rack isn't there, and I don't mean for luggage.  Did I miss anything while drawing that smartass picture?  Are we going straight from Newark to the Pasty Place?

I still like the sound of italian, I reckon it's a goer, and we should definately do it.  I'm all for doing things as a group, I've always hated it when the AGI group got split up.

Also, I'd rather eat my own earwax than eat sushi.

I'll be at Newark at 4:00 to get TL, so I could show up a little earlier and find you as well, Doc.  Pick whichever carload you want to be a part of.

Shaucker, assuming I don't hit traffic, and manage to find Tongue rather promptly, 4:45 should be no problem.  Though I do have to check into the hotel at some point around then...

Carmine's works for me, anything but sushi, really.

Congratulations, you win one and a half canned points (the points in a can.)  I spotted that typo before I hit the "submit" button, but I kept it in because I think "survuve" is a cool word and I wanted to see if anyone would notice.
