So, Nurdy, where's your Guild Hall based? I keep getting images of Tatooine sweeping through my mind.  :)

Pfff, Nurdy's SWG screenshots are the highlights of a day wasted at PEEL for me.

I'd rather pimp my own original character off than be a fanboy of a worn out one, Snake will be as dead as Croft soon. Burn back!

M0le: Tatooine, where else?

What? It's the truth. This game may not suck but like there B list Celeb counterparts Video Game characters (Unless Mario) eventually slip away into retirement, followed by a few bad sequals and a failed line of collectors models.

Don't see any Modern Megaman games now, do you?

Those are games I'm dying to play.

Just to clarify, I really don't care about Nurdbot's SWG stuff.  It's moderately interesting, even.  I just don't like being called a fanboy.  (I do love the MG games and most of the characters therein, but not to an obsessive point.)

On a different topic entirely, is GoldenEye:Rogue Agent any good?  Normally I say away from PS2 FPSes (for that matter, all console FPSes except Halo) but the concept looks nice and...well...all they have to do is take the engine from the original and beef up the graphics and AI right?  Even EA couldn't screw that up.

I was amazed when Gamespot.com gave Rogue Agent a 6.5. I was expecting a 8 or 9 but apparently it's not that good.

I was thinking I might get it, but it didn't seem to be anything special. I'll probably just get Halo 2 for Christmas.

And on a completely random side note, I decided to try and complete Final Fantasy : Crystal Chronicles today. Walkthrough required after about 5 minutes...

X-play gave Rogue Agent a decent review if I remember correctly.  An ok FPS amid lots and lots of excellent ones.

You can try, but you can't beat the Magic of the N64 GoldenEye.

I've played Rogue Agent and it's alright personally I didn't think it was all that great.  Everything in that game has already been done before. I'd give it a 6 or a 7.  I just didn't have a lot of fun with it. And like Nurdbot said Goldeneye was the best.  To me if GoldenEye's graphics were up to date, it would easily outbeat Rouge agent.  And I had a question for those who've played MP2:echoes. Have any of you gotten to the Agon Wastes Boss Amorbis yet?  I can't seem to beat him. I've only tried once though.

Picto Chat does come with it. It's built into the hardware.

Not sure how up to date this is. Mr. Driller is listed as unknown so it's probably a few days old. Should give you a general idea though. Not a whole lot coming out until 2005.

Newhook is right, Picto Chat is built into the DS, but Nintendo listed it as an upcoming game, so when I copied and pasted it... well, you know the rest.

Yes, and it's about the act after the date... the "vertical shuffle". Actually, until you mentioned that Nurdy, I only thought Mr. Driller as a puzzle game.

Wouldn't it be whacky if it was? Hehe, I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't dropped it's anti-violent games pledge and try and save it's dying Empire.

I think that is one reason that Nintendo did struggle a little bit a couple of years ago, I mean they didn't have any games for the college age crowd. Nintendo tends to market it's games for the younger audience, which is fine but most people who play games are 17 or older. Now, I still like the games like Mario, Zelda, and Metroid because they have that "nostalgia
aura
" around them.

Also, Nurdy, I'm thinking of getting SWG, How would you start a character?

So yeah, I was just flying around Los Santos looking for the 100th tag, and the very last place I looked (i.e. the 100th spot on the map) was where the missing tag was hiding.  The jetpack made the hunt a little easier, and now I get an AK, a TEC-9, a sawed-off, and a molotov cocktail in my kitchen.

Speaking of TEC-9s and sawed-off shotguns, I've reached 'hitman' level with both of those weapons and have been dealing out two-fisted fury all around the state.  It's pretty cool.  Most cars are goners by the second 1-2-3-4 punch from the two-handfuls of shotgun.

I also went back to the cycle school and took silver or better in all the classes.  This upgrades the bike that spawns outside from a Freeway to an FCR-900.  I'm still miffed that 97% isn't a gold medal.

CJ now wears a tweed suit, gray fedora, and his characteristic black shades.

Which promptly killed all games using the Source engine, including HL2 itself! Yay! The bug will likely be fixed by morning, but for now, no HL2 for me    :( .  Oh, well. At least I finally beat the single player this afternoon.

So CS: Source right? Is it a lot less smacktardy than the original? I may buy HL2 at some point as well. I think it'd run well on my PC, by the sounds of other PEELer's reports.

Yay, HL2DM is pretty awesome, even if it just degenerates into filing cabinet wars.
Perhaps the gravity gun shouldnt be given as default?

It wasn't Irish mail, I rang them up and they said they've had loads of complaints, but they explained they weren't getting any of the things from Britain until a week after dispatched.
Doesn't Royal Mail break down every December?  :p

As for high graphics (Nyah!), I said in the buying thread, I might get a Radeon x800 PRO, but I think I'll try to OC my FX 5600 first, Coolbits awaayyy!!
I looked in my case too and there was a laod of dust fuzz in its fan...  :hmpf:
So I closed up those PCI slots in the back panel.

Get DM off Steam, do I? Buggy, is it?

That'd probably be your best bet for HL2. To be honest I wouldn't justify going for a top-of-the-range card anyway (I doubt I will). The performance edge you get isn't worth a 25% price jump.

The only game i'm looking forward to right now is Conker: Live and Reloaded for the Xbox. I loved the N64 one, and this version looks nothing short of amazing. Although, I'm still a little peeved that they gave Conker these really ass-ugly puke green and yellow shorts. But...erm...other than that minor flaw, the few screenshots I've seen of it, I was impressed by. Just hope the folks at Rare do a better job on it than on that godawful Grabbed By The Ghoulies game. Good lord. No offense if any of you liked it...but geh. -_-;

Quoth teh ~FazeShift~ from buying thread:
I find it un-hilariously ironic that HL2 is running sweet, and if it starts raining in Vice City or I drive through a bit of fog, I get a crappy FPS of 15...
In short, there's gotta be a bottleneck/heat problem with my PC, gotta do sumthin!
Is the X800 PRO upper meduim range?
