I figured that since the gaming thread is at the end of it's last page that a fresh new one should be started.

So mods, please close the old thread: http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/12-001976-19/

And to start it off, every body that is considering a purchase of the Nintendo DS should check out the 15 minute Demonstration of Mario 64 DS at www.gamespot.com.

Seriously, when I was watching it, I was close to tears. It looks so amazing...

Well, at this price, I'd say I've got a fairly sweet deal here- 12 square meters (go metric, you emperialists!). with own bathroom. Breakfast, dinner and a packed lunch plus electricity, water, heat, cable and 100 mb/s internet, all at the pretty low cost of 40£/week... Maybe we can make the admins at school loosen up the security for the school dorm... After all, opening up a few ports would only enable us to play on-line and use Kazaa... We can already fiddle our way around the proxy with a few other p2p programs (but we won't tell the admins that when/if we're gonna negotiate)

FIXED.

Fable is a good game.  Not really mind-blowing, though.  Parts of it feel incomplete.  But it does play well, for the most part.

And just what game is that code from?  Definitely not Contra for the NES.  UUDDLRLRBABASelectStart.

The only cheat I know off by heart is the one for Level Select on Sonic 2. Up, down, left, right, A, B, C, A+start. Go to sound test, enter 19, 65, 09, 17. Go back to the main screen, and enter the first code again. On pressing A+start, you get the level select. All other cheats I forget or write down.

Played the Dune Sea map on Battlefront - God I hate that map. Virtually no room to maneuver anything and me and the Rebels kept getting are arse kicked repeatedly. Well except the time that I hopped into an X-Wing and hovered around the map (difficult, since you have a choice of flying into a rockface or flying out of the map entirely) Despite my best efforts, the Rebels were slaughtered again, but we managed to bring the Imperial count to lower than 20, at which a rule kicks all CPU characters out of any vehicle or turret. And luckily there was one Rebel CP left, so I hovered above that, hoping to catch and fry any Imps that came close. But also on the Dune Sea are a third party of Sandpeople who shoot at anyone and everyone. And lo and behold, they basically finished off all the remaining Imperials for me, and the Rebels won, even though I had been the only one left for about 5 minutes!  :p

Have any of you heard of that new Ps2 game coming out called killzone?  It's supposedly supposed to be contending with Halo 2 and Metroid Prime 2:echoes. Speaking of Ds Pasty what about the psx(handheld playstation). Since were talking about games I'd like to ask a question.  Does anyone think there comes a point when games have to stop? I do, because you are waisting your money every year to buy something new. When will it end.  It was supposed to be a good thing, but every three years they are coming out with a new friggin system. N64 absolete, Dreamcast absolete.  Pretty soon they are gonna have a Ps5000 and an Xbox5000. I like how games are evolving, but it doesn't seem to have an end.

The bigger problem is the fact that consumers continue to buy these new systems, encourgeing game compines to create more. If everyone ignored PS2 and continued to buy PS1 games, companies would have continued to create games for the PS1 ignoring the PS2 over time. A system is only obsoulete once you've beaten all the good games for it, though I know many don't share that view point.

Gamespot sucks and refuses to let me download or stream that Mario 64 DS video. But if there really are new levels, I am in.

Don't forget that they are finally releasing another side-scrolling Mario game for the DS, plus a new Mario Kart game. My only doubts about this system have been addressed. It's gotta be the best system ever.

Yes, apparently the game will have 150 Stars instead of 120 plus new levels, a multiplayer mode, and dozens of minigames.

And the added bonus of being able to play the game as Wario, Luigi, or Yoshi is nice too.

I put this in the last thread.  NINTENDO DS FANS LOOK HERE.

@Nasty Pasty: I spend most of my time torturing myself by watching and researching Nintendo DS and Halo 2 and I happen to know that that movie is 16 minutes!  :p

@totalneruk: Thank you!  Now I have someone agreeing with me on Xbox.

@Gleno: My friend rented that.  Pretty good, but I wouldn't recommend buying it.  He beat it in 2 days.

and i've been obsessing over the DS since may 11th at e3.

SM64DS looks awesome, as well as Metroid Prime: Hunters. The control scheme just looked so fucking amazing in the gamespot demonstration.

In SWG, there is an awesome option to have two professions at once. I decided I had enough of being in hunting groups that had no medic and getting the crap kicked out of them, so I decided to become one myself. They get tipped if they spend some time in the Medical Centre's and wait for the injured players to limp in.

Evil Genius is indeed pretty nifty Nurdy, although the demo I played only allowed for a little bit of experimentation and the constant barrage of intruders was pretty annoying.

Anywho, I'm sure you'll like my latest SWG screenies. Especially Fazeshift.

Just a friendly Jedi PVP duel in the Cantina of Anchorhead called touche_station.

And something for Speli and the Scouttrooper fans.

Are we talking about Deception, or Deadly Alliance though?

Also, I was wondering if Deception had a whole bunch of extra stuff kinda like DA did; I have very little information about Deception, but IGN said it was a superhyped up game even though I only heard about it, when it came out....

I actually went to IGN and looked up a review for Mortal Kombat: Deception (under its XBox title, it also comes in Cube and PS2 flavors), and it sounded like a whole lot of game with extra stuff and online playability.

Anyways here's a quote about one of the aspects of gameplay:

Yeah what gives, Winna and others go to the official site and dload the 10 minute interview with Ed Boon....he goes on about all the new features and whatnot....there's no way you could unlock everything in 2 days unless you cheat....

And the online play has me salivating....no more letting my Dad win anymore....!  :D
