It doesn't do any good, winna.  I was also going to ask people not to vote for me, but it always backfires and more people end up voting for you

And you're on the poll because the fire daemon Fresnel just laid down to rest, exhausted from her month-long battle with the Tree People.  Several days hence she will emerge from her chrysalis, the shattered fragments of which will scintillate like countless millions of Mayan fireflies caught in a winter moonbeam.

aww danks for the vote W, I went with Nibs, hes such a funny, positive lil ray of sunshine. But like Winna said, there are some other awesome choices up there and I wouldn't hesitate to pick any of them

I certainly agree with both of those opinions.  My decision on who I picked was predominantly biased toward the fact that PotM is undead.  Nice seeing yalls posts.

Fair enough, tyraniak   There's been a pretty good flurry of activity over the last month or two, sparked to a large degree by someone in the poll.

Hey, we've got eleven votes!  I'm impressed   Maybe even one or two more might come in, before the poll expires in two, three days.

Also, I apologize in advance if I'm not around when the poll results show, as I'll be in Oregon for the eclipse, and with around 1.5 million people coming in from out of state, I might be lucky to get any internet at all.

Good choice tyraniak.  Hobbitboy has been really dutiful to us.  Has he won potm yet?  I hope he enjoys pursing through the data as much as everyone seems to enjoy reading his lists.

Hey, we got a dozen votes, which is nice in this present era of PEEL.

Congratulations, ShinyMetal!  You've injected a lot of life into the board recently and stimulated activity from a number of posters, and it was even enough to revive the dormant long-held tradition of POTM... and you won it!  Waitaminute... was that your devious plan all along?!?!
