I haven't been paying much attention recently. I've been busy. Which means I've only skimmed the most recently updated threads.

Still, based on this I'm nominating SpacemanSpiff, for being correct about things. AllEggsIn1Basket for goat pictures that don't simply make me want to roast a goat, and Monster Robot Maniac for bringing this to my attention.

Honourable mention to Danny, for sharing the information four hours later in the Rick & Morty thread. He tried, bless his little cotton socks.

Yeah, I'd be cool with this. There's a clear winner emerging. Except that so far, this thread hasn't really been open long enough for anybody to call the results. Have patience, grasshopper. Allow the allotted five days to run their course.

To be fair, it's probably a good thing that roughly 10,900 of those people are no longer here; I never liked those guys much, anyway (they know who they are ).

On a somewhat related note, I definitely wasn't around here enough in May to nominate anyone for this month's POTM. But I definitely think a poll is worth doing regardless of how many people would actually qualify to be on it, because - as QNF notes - more people tend to vote than to nominate. And, really, if only four or five folks did anything POTM-worthy this month, and if those people have already been nominated, a bunch of others coming in here and re-nomming them is pretty pointless.

I guess what I'm saying is that I see no real problem with the nomination process being done by committee - a few dedicated PEELers coming in and nominating the same people everyone else was probably already thinking of nominating - as long as we do eventually take those results to an individual vote.

Now there's a waste of a nomination if ever I've seen one. I'm never going to win a POTM again, Nibbly. I've had my day. My star is fading. Also, I barely post these days.
