I've hardly posted this month, and you know next-to-nothing about me. [deleted]

As for nominations... I've got to admit that Josh may be right about Nasty Pasty. I can't say that I particularly approve of any other nominations that have currently been made, 'cause it's just been a slow, shitty, month and nobody's really said or done anything amazing other than Nasty Pasty's reunion thing.

So I'm abstaining, for the first time in a while.

You know, if everyone here showed a slightly less hostile in-your-face attitude towards new members, perhaps we wouldn't be seeing ~90% of them leave after a month or three.  I've only been here a few years but I treasure Peel, and it's depressing to see the slow decline of activity over the last year or so.  Can we perhaps try not to accelerate that trend?

Some of the POTM noms/votes DO indeed follow the pattern*:
a) Nominate someone who won before
b) Nominate someone other Peelers already nominated
c) Checking wether said person actually made some posts that month (maybe even posts beyong ordinary small-talk) is not really considered obligatory.

Discouring such behaviour from the beginning is basically a very noble endeavour

I think there's generally a good mix between people who've won before and people who haven't, although I don't usually take that into consideration whilst nomming. A good poster is a good poster.
