As you probably already don't know, this issue at hand has already been discussed here and here. If you check the thread history before July 2012, you'll notice that I used to close threads 1-3 days after the polls ended. Since the discussion came up though, and people wanted time to congratulate, when I've opened the polls I have left them open until the nomination thread for the next month was started. If you guys wanna encourage it to be like how it was before though, well then I guess we'll have to start closing them early again. Just thought I could expect more from some people by now...
