I passed on Jessica's fare

You and every other guy I’ve ever known… :p

I wish I could claim credit for the setup, but in this case I was oblivious :laff:

Being a TV writer is not glamorous.  Don't do it, kids.  You want to be a street sweeper instead.

The middle ground, of course, is package delivery

Today I learnt that from a North Western US perspective, the Southern US can be confused with Australia and New Zealand.  I wonder who should be more offended.

Isn't Australia basically just British Texas anyway?

I'm not sure what that makes New Zealand though.

RIP Xanfor, TMC, Faze and Randi. :(

I wish those guys would make a surprise appearance. They're as much a part of the proverbial portrait as the rest of us. I always had a particular fondness and respect for Xanfor...

If Xanfor shows up, I call dibs on eating him to gain his power.

* Xanfor probably doesn't taste very good.

No one expects the Xanfor!

Lovely, thanks :)

I should note for posterity (in case anything changes) that Xanfor's avatar-image has a costume that is quite similar to the one worn by the main characters in a certain Monty Python skit...

I feel like we've already established, that besides "blimey" and "faff", there are no English words, they are all stolen.

And its follow-up:

The English don't steal things. They simply take them without asking permission and then lock them up in the British museum forever.

You misspelled "Nasty Pasty".

Maybe if you posted more, people would miss you more. :p

He's not called "Nasty Presenty"!

I don't know if it's relevant to the thread, but Talking Heads' "Once In A Lifetime" is the ringtone on my phone.

And you may ask yourself, "Who is calling me at this hour?"

I have no idea what's causing the rodent problem over here other than the unseasonably cold and wet weather.

Leopard shortage.

It seems the northwestern part of the state, around Erie, is the place to be, but I shan't be making the journey. I'm content to settle for, uh, partial depth. Won't be the first time... :shifty:

Does Canada have an incredibly vast network of caves and tunnels inhabited by mole people? I thought it was just bears and maple leaves.

Gold.
