Two of my noms made the poll (SpaceMaN and Tallywhacker) and my third unfortunately didn't (Jan-Michael Vincent). I'm still up in the air on who to vote for though...

Y'know what? I find DrThunder88's "wit" to have grown rather stale. I mean, aside from making puns (some of which are absolute groaners) and snide comments, what does he actually do around here that's laudable? Does he review episodes? Does he edit the wiki? Has he added any PEELers of Facebook? Is he actually a part of the community or a stealth troll, laughing his ass off at all of us, and generally feeling smug about it?

These are serious questions, and they ocurred to me the moment I actually stopped and asked myself why exactly do we all think DrT is awesome? Is it just a case of it being repeated often enough that everybody believes it? I'm going to have to find some sort of solution to this. Preferably with a graph.

In any case, I voted for SpaceGoldfish, since she's genuinely impressed me, and not my original choice of coldangel, because after looking back through the religion thread, I don't think he's said much that was new, even if the debate was entertaining for a while. If somebody came along with a radical new argument on one sode or the other of the religion debate that caused a permenant shift in the way I thought about the issue, then perhaps they'd have gotten my vote this month. SpaceGoldfish, on the other hand, has been very active in On-Topic, and has said several things that, whilst I might not agree with them entirely, were interesting and provoked thought.

If she hadn't been on the poll, my vote would've gone to TheMadCapper. He's a wise man, and his musings are particularly relevant to all of us. No, wait, not TMC. The account he posts his wisdom under - Tallywhacker.

I said "let's agree to disagree" because I have the feeling that the same things I like so much about Dr. T just aren't as impressive to you, tnuk. You seem focused on On-Topic contributions. That makes a lot of sense. I'm honestly going mostly for someone who makes me laugh. Dr. T does that on a consistent basis, even if my sense of humor can be corny and/or snarky at times.

I don't recall writing that post.  Also, it doesn't use the words "also" or "furthermore" enough to be something I wrote.  And it's grammatically correct, something I'm not able to achieve anymore without several rewrites, which I never take the time to make.
