Most Honourable PEELer

'K, here's how this works. Mods, I'd like you to enforce this please. [-mArc-], I'm going to send you a PM about it, and there will be an opportunity for you to shoot this, and another idea I had down if you dislike them.

So "Most Honourable PEELer" should be clarified first. It's the award that you get when you're consistently not nominated for POTM either due to being inelegible or there being somebody better than you this month. If you've got a "fourth choice" for POTM, then they're the Honourable Mention.

So you nominate the three best ones in the nomination thread including the honourable mention, and quote that post here. Got it? No other posts. No questions. PM me any questions. Let's keep this thread free of clutter, and easy to tally.

Rather than award this once a month, I think it should be an annual thing. There will be a trophy graphic for it... just like the PEELies. So this will be given out whenever the PEELies gets going for 2011.

If you want to quote posts that have previous honourable mentions for POTM in them, it'll be hard, as the nomination threads will have been locked. So in that case, links to those posts would be considered perfectly acceptable.

Would the moderation team kindly consider making this thread a sticky one please?

Edit: Just follow the damn instructions and PM me any questions rather than cluttering up the thread. I'd ask the moderating team to please delete anything in this thread other than quotes or links to posts which have a fourth option/honourable mention in them.

Gorky agrees with me on several key issues.

Coldangel came back.

DannyJC13 and Nibblonian Leader have both impressed me, but neither of them drew an awesome sketch of me with an umbrella. Although Danny did PM me a piece of MS-Paint artwork that was suppsed to resemble me. Morgan_G19 did sketch me properly, so she'd get my nom if she were elegible.

So I'm going to nominate SpaceMaN to fill the last slot, as he gets more of my oblique references than most of you, possibly due to being a fellow Tower Junkie. Hile, dude. Hile.

Just to clarify: This is the only thing we should be seeing here. Quoted posts (or linked to) containing honourable mentions for POTM. Questions should be PM'd to me. I'll be asking the moderating team to delete anything else.

winna for being my best friend OF ALL TIME.

The reason I'm nominating coldangel_1 is kinda the opposite of Josh's. I'd like to nominate him for his willingness to engage on the subject, to discuss it somewhat more maturely than most other threads around here, and for not being afraid to state his opinons baldly and boldly. He manages to do it without insulting people (much) these days, and I feel that this month we've all been able to put forth something that's contributed towards each side understanding the other's perspective more.

Melllvar's going to have to take an honourable mention this month, since overall SpaceGoldfishfromWazn has very much impressed me, and as a new poster, that's an acheivement for her. I'm going to give her his nomination, and hope that he understands.

SpaceMaN gets an honourable mention as well, for making me pick up my quest for the Dark Tower once again (this'll be my fifth full cycle if I manage to climb up the tower again, having gone all the way through the seven books). So does ShepherdofShark for making me laugh a lot this month.

But my final nomination has to go to dr_perceptron for his spirited if misguided defense of the Prius. Well done, sir. Very. Very. Well. Done.

Yeah I thought I was the Honorable Mention.  He did put a "u" in it.  



Also, if I weren't in the middle of a Hitchhikers' Guide re-read, I'd join you on the quest for the Tower.  You probably read faster than I do, or more.  I read a lot more in the winter, and when I don't have a job.

Of course. Older women are typically richer.

spira for the reasons that many people have already cited: her posts are entertaining and substantive. Also, she climbed a mountain.

SpaceMaN - I've enjoyed his posts lately, and I rather like the abstract art he has recently showed us.
i_c_weiner - A few of his posts have made me laugh out loud, and that deserves some recognition.
