You may change your choice. Poll is open for one day.

Foremost choice only means 1 vote for everyone
All supported candidates means as many votes as there are candidates (but no multi-vote for a single candidate)

My vote: all supported candidates:
Since it looks like we will have a rather high number of candidates, there is a good chance that I'd support more than one person for POTM and I'd like to express that.

I say one choice only. You have 3 nominations and then have to narrow it down to one in the poll (if all 1 or more of yours made it), or find 1 new one.

One choice only here, otherwise I can see people voting for 9 of the 10 candidates just for the hell of it, and then the number of votes is gonna get a bit silly...

As long as it is used sensibly (Otis rightly points out a potential abuse area) I see no problem with multiple votes. It may even help with the tied poll problem. So in principle I vote for "all supported candidates".

I would say more that you're allowed to vote for up to three people you believe to be eligible for POTM that month from the candidates that make it to the poll. If you're allowed to vote for 1, 2, or 3 people then it removes the possibility of abuse, but also gives people a bit more of a choice.

I'm a traditionalist. I say one vote, because that's how we did it in my day, you darn kids! :p

I actually like the idea of having multiple votes for the poll. In ye olde days, you would have to narrow yourself down to your favorite nominee, which wasn't always an easy choice. What would happen is that certain posters would wait years to win POTM despite getting the most nominations every month. ... As in I'm bitter about waiting years to win POTM despite getting the most nominations every month.

I'd never considered the idea of having multiple votes cast.  I don't believe PEEL 1 even allowed that sort of pollery.  I may be getting soft in my old age, so I'd be happy with either provision.

PEEL 1 didn't have that ability. Multi-polling is a feature of PEEL 2 that hasn't exactly been tapped to its full potential on PEEL.

Using multiple polling options would be interesting, but I think it allows for a greater chance of ties / close calls.

It actually would do the opposite. In most nomination cycles, you have one or two clear-cut front runners. In the same way, the poll would get one person about whom people felt strongly. That person would pull away from the pack even more so than currently.

Don't know about that one, we have a multiple polling option in a thread in PE Stockroom and last I checked a few of the choices were pretty evenly matched.

edit: This is the thread I was referring to.Yes there's a winner, but it's not as cut and dry as you'd expect it to be.
