There are groups of like-minded individuals, yes, but nothing more overt than you should be accustomed to handling if you've ever dealt other members of the human species in a social setting before.

I believe there is an intentionally exclusive-natured mentality among some members of the board and I'm pretty sure I didn't imagine it. I've seen it happen to more than one noob. It isn't just a case of some noob taking offence to a bit of friendly banter either, many of these posts aimed at the noobs lack any bit of humour and are just being dickish for the sake of being dickish.
Perhaps I’m better able to notice these things because I’m relatively new and my judgment isn’t clouded by friendships I may have with the perpetrators of such dickish behaviour.

I don’t agree with that analogy at all. I haven’t metaphorically kicked anyone, all I have done is remain honest and just call things the way I see them. I realise the truth is often unpleasant to some but like I said, I believe that says more about them than it does about me.

I never said you needed to change, I said that you need to change your behaviour. I don't know enough about you to make a judgement about your person, and it would not be my place to do so if did. Nevertheless, all I am offering is my advice. I would like you to accept it, or at least use it to better your life and relationships (both online and for real).

If it's any consolation, Super Hans, I haven't paid attention to anything people have been saying about/to you, since I always seem to miss/selectively ignore the part where someone does something so horrendous that everyone decides to turn on them/someone is decided to be a fake account and therefore ridiculed. I assume because those who do make fake accounts must have really, really empty lives. They probably shouldn't be ridiculed so much as encouraged to make a couple of non-imaginary, non-online friends.

I am really lazy when it comes to catching up on missed posts. What happened? Did you rape somebody's mother? Surely that's a decent reason for people who don't even know you to be so against you!

The last time I won, I did it quite by accident by running an obnoxious campaign in support of Kryten, with the gracious favor of the mighty Vindaloovian Empire. The threat made by Dalek Sec seemed to turn things against my candidate, however, and toward me instead. (This was quite probably the origin of the now infamous "Sec's for Xanfor" movement.)

Um, no. I was inspired by FHM and Frisco17's prompting at 6:15 and 6:30 Central European Time, respectively. I know the original song by heart, so the only thing it cost me was some time.

Like posting on PEEL in general, totally worth it!

Since people liked the song, I fixed some errors I found in it. I'd probably faint if I read futurefreak's book and found out a mistake of mine had made it to print!

Also, I am ashamed that only one person has voted for Nutmeg so far: me. I'd do something more about this, but like I mentioned, last time I tried something like that it backfired horribly.
